Although the Pair × Orientation interaction approached significance ( p = 0.056), post-hoc comparisons showed that only the Infant versus Adult comparison demonstrated a substantial orientation difference: the upright orientation ( M = 12.14, SD = 50.47) exceeded the inverted orientation ( M = − 7.43, SD = 63.33), t (870) = 3.66, p < 0.001.
Accuracy rates For accuracy rates, the first model with age and retirement was marginally significant and explained 22.2% of the variance ( R2 = 0.222, adjusted R2 = 0.154, p = .056).
Multivariate models also provided some evidence for a positive genetic correlation between IGEs on aggression and DGEs expressed in the non-social trait of exploration, although the estimated was marginally non-significant (r G = 0.59, SE 0.28, P = 0.056) (Table 2 ).
Global encoding–encoding similarity The ANOVA revealed a trend towards significance for the main effect of memory accuracy, F (1,35) = 3.90, f = .33 (95% CI = [.00, .70]), p = .056, with a BF Inclusion of 16.4, reflecting higher similarity scores for misses compared to hits (across motivational conditions).
With a marginal significance ( p = 0.056) and a contribution of 6.46% to the variation, Cr2C3 may have a small but significant impact that merits further investigation.
5d ) were taken prior to entry into metabolic chambers, after 1 week in the chambers at room temperature, and after 1 more week in the chambers at 8 °C, and approached significant difference at 15 weeks post-implant (Fig. 5d , p = 0.056).
A General Linear Model with (1) mean heart rate as a continuous predictor, (2) snout-vent length and body mass at birth as dependent variables, and (3) embryo positioning and clutch of origin as categorical predictors yielded a marginally non-significant effect of embryo positioning F 2, 38 = 3.11; P = 0.056—see Fig. 5 ).
Sleep duration did not significantly correlate with complications ( p = 0.375; RR = 1.051), and those reporting satisfactory health status approached significance ( p = 0.056; RR = 1.149).
Elk’s F IS was significantly lower than VA (Kruskal–Wallis, p = 5.535e-05) but the post-hoc Dunn’s test was only nearly significant (p = 0.056; Fig. 2 b).
Considering only the MEM anticipations towards the target direction, differences between ASD and TD became marginally significant ( p = 0.056, d = 0.5, see Table 4 ).
However, to what extent can we attach biological meaning to a reaction norm that is statistically unsupported? A slight reaction norm was obtained when studying short-term variability (i.e., within a breeding season) in the FID of rural burrowing owls 17 , but results are only marginally significant when reanalyzed and applying the most recommended likelihood ratio test 42 (p = 0.056).
MuRF1 expression decreased in GW788388 treated animals when compared to vehicle treated animals, although did not quite reach significance (p = 0.056).
Only AC5:0 was positively correlated with liver steatosis and negatively correlated with hepatocyte ballooning, both of which were of borderline significance ( p = 0.056 and 0.088, respectively).
This correlation lost its statistical significance in the group with diabetes, likely due to the reduction in sample size associated with stratification, although a borderline significant trend was observed (r = 0.54, p = 0.056; Supplementary Table S3 ).
There were also significant effects of crop species on the activities of BG and BX (Table 1 ) and the effect of crop species on CBH was marginally significant (P = 0.056; Table 1 ).
The post-hoc pairwise comparisons showed that the global efficiency of the PN + , CN- and CN + conditions are significantly higher than the baseline (all post-hoc p s < 0.016), while the difference between the PN- and the baseline is marginally significant ( post-hoc p < 0.056).
The difference in action specificity between the groups narrowly missed significance ( p = 0.056), but there were no differences in the approach and withdrawal blocks separately (withdrawal: p = 0.179, approach: p = 0.369).
