While no individual epistatic association was genome-wide significant (p< 2.56e-10), several approached significance (p< 3e-8).

Similarly, a multivariate association test focused on the three RAN traits revealed a genome-wide significant association of rs17663182 ( p = 1.15 × 10 −8 ), while rs16928927 association only approached significance ( p = 5.45 × 10 −8 ).

Two nearby SNPs, in linkage disequilibrium with rs9966620, also approached significance (rs7243626, p = 5.64 × 10 −8 , and rs7240470, p = 8.05 × 10 −7 ).

Secondary Analysis of GWAS Finding In our study, the variant rs4242007 was in near-complete linkage disequilibrium ( r 2 = 0.98) with rs4074555 (chr4:57110400, C/A), which itself approached significance in the primary GWAS ( p = 1.07 × 10 −7 ).

A 2024 GWAS meta‐analysis 24 in ∼10,000 participants by the same group found no genomewide‐significant loci, but highlighted a locus near RAD23B that approached significance (lead SNP p ‐value p ‐value = 1.33 × 10 −7 ) for affective disturbance.

However, the locus at 9q31 spanning RAD23B identified in the analysis of AD+A again approached significance (Table 3 , best SNP rs60819822, O.R. 0.86 (0.81, 0.91), p = 1.75 × 10 −7 ).
