API
Read-only JSON, no key, no rate limit worth documenting. The same functions serve these endpoints and the pages, so the API and the site always answer the same question.
The excerpt endpoint accepts every filter, including several the sidebar does not show: q, title, journal_q, publisher_q, phrase, band, journal, publisher, kind, verdict, gold, year_from, year_to, p_min, p_max, min_excerpts, sort, page. Repeat a key to widen it: two phrase values are read as either, and every different key is read as also. The response echoes back the filters it understood, which is the quickest way to see a mistyped one.
GET /api/v1/statsCorpus totals, band split, median p-value.
GET /api/v1/phrasesEvery verified phrase with its counts.
GET /api/v1/excerpts?phrase=&band=&q=&sort=&page=The sentences, same filters as /excerpts.
GET /api/v1/articles/{pmcid}One paper and all of its hedged sentences.
