Marginally significant differences were observed for marital status and history of diabetes. 3.2.
Excerpts
Moreover, the HR showed a decreasing trend with level of intake of both EPA ( p for trend = 0.009) and DHA ( p for trend = 0.032).
No significant associations were observed with n -6 PUFA levels, but the n -6: n -3 ratio showed a significant trend of association with the onset of depressive symptoms.
The findings of these studies were found to be partially significant and not dose-dependent.
Surprisingly, despite the significantly decreased VEGF level observed in obese women supplemented with high doses of probiotics, both the mean changes in HUVEC number and the percentage of change of cells exposed to serum from the HD group showed increasing trends, although the differences were not quite significant.
a clear trendgold
The hazard ratios for an association between the lipophilic index and total ischemic stroke did not indicate a clear trend across quintiles either ( Table 2 ).
NCGS showed a Marsh 1 grade in the 68.2%, versus the 41.5% in the other group, with a p = 0.07, close to significance.
There seems to be an increasing trend, but standard deviations are too large to draw that conclusion.
In the present analysis, a non-significant inverse correlation between abdominal muscle CSA and age, and a highly significant correlation between abdominal muscle PDFF and age in women, could be observed.
During prolonged lactation, the contribution of breast milk to the infant diet might be significant, from an energy intake standpoint.
The DASH Diet has proved to be effective mainly in decreasing blood pressure [ 115 , 116 ], and a subanalysis in the MESA study has also shown favorable effects on left ventricular function in terms of a higher end-diastolic volume and a (marginally significant) increase in ejection fraction [ 117 ].
This association remained marginally significant after further adjustment for potential confounders ( β coefficient: 0.34; 95% CI: 0.01–0.67).
Within such a decreasing trend, the WB diet systematically led to a higher concentration of glucose and a slightly lower concentration of succinate at each time point when compared to the EB diet.
There was an increasing trend of body weight, WC, and BMI from Q1 to Q4 ( p for trend <0.001).
deionized water approaching significance (95% CI = −0.04054 to 0.7978).
Conclusions In summary, we found a constant tendency toward significance between plasma BCAAs and animal protein or red meat intakes in OW/MS+ individuals.
Considering all principal protein sources, red meat seems to be driving the positive association of total animal protein intakes with plasma BCAAs since it was the only food group presenting a trend towards significance for an association with plasma BCAAs.
In OW/MS+ individuals, the association between plasma BCAAs and animal protein presented a trend toward significance that became significant after adjustments.
Specifically, this group showed a trend towards a lowering of the % DA with respect to the RV group on the following two days after the induction of the infection ( Figure 2 A).
A recent meta-analysis has summarized 17 studies testing this association, showing an almost significant increase of risk among those with higher intake or higher levels (nails/hair/serum) (OR high vs. low = 1.07; 95% CI: 0.98–1.20), which is consistent with our findings [ 41 ].
In addition, the associations at the GWAS level with SNPs in other genes of the same cluster, mainly in the UGT1A6 and UGT1A10 genes, are highly significant in our study and, therefore, coincide with previous GWAS [ 50 , 51 , 52 , 53 , 54 ].
Though the results of the intervention group showed marked reduction in FBS (158.6 to 148.05 mg/dL), these improvements in the FBS were marginally insignificant when compared with the control group.
extremely significantqualified
p value < 0.05 were regarded statistically significant while p value < 0.01 were extremely significant. 3.
The RAGE expression in hyperoside- and 2′′-O-acetylvitexin-treated groups exhibited a decreasing trend ( Figure 2 b).
In any case, the limitation of lipolysis by insulin was minimal (at the limit of significance in Figure 1 C, and absent in Figure 2 B) under the in vitro conditions tested.
