No significant differences were observed between periods for specific complications, including intestinal obstruction, anastomotic leakage, intra-abdominal abscess, pulmonary complications, wound infection, sepsis, and metabolic complications (only metabolic complications approached significance; p = 0.055).
In the multivariate analysis adjusted for clinical variables associated with bleeding risks in the univariate analysis, the SIC score was independently associated with an increased risk of major transfusion (adjusted OR 1.535; 95% CI 1.153–2.045; p = 0.003), whereas serum albumin showed a trend toward a protective effect (adjusted OR 0.524; 95% CI 0.270–1.014; p = 0.055).
Although the ANB angle after centric slide adjustment approached significance ( p = 0.055), this trend aligns with earlier studies by Shi et al. and Chen et al., which report that CR-based assessments can reveal skeletal discrepancies otherwise concealed in habitual occlusion [ 11 , 16 ].
There were no significant differences between the two groups, and only the sexual abuse difference is very close to statistical significance ( p = 0.055).
There was a moderately significant association between depression and latanoprost use, compared to those not on latanoprost (41.0% vs. 17.4%, p = 0.055).
In the correlation analysis of the high MD group, it was found that only the PSD of 10-2 uniquely presented borderline significant correlations with GCIPL thickness (r = −0.327, p = 0.055), and no other functional parameter showed significant correlation.
From July onward, all monthly positivity rates in 2023 were higher than those in 2022: July (RR = 1.677, p < 0.001), August (RR = 1.131, p = 0.055, borderline significant), September (RR = 1.289, p = 0.010), October (RR = 1.186, p = 0.010), November (RR = 1.249, p < 0.001), and December (RR = 1.594, p < 0.001). 4.4.
While the difference in the overall detection rates was not statistically significant ( p = 0.375), the difference in the bilateral detection rates approached significance ( p = 0.055).
Pairwise DeLong comparisons of M4A, M4B, and M4C revealed no statistically significant differences in AUC between the three nutritional models (all p > 0.05), although the comparison of M4A versus M4C showed a trend favouring CONUT (ΔAUC = 0.077, p = 0.055; Supplementary Table S4 ).
Furthermore, epicardial adipose tissue density significantly increased after contrast administration ( p < 0.001), with a median difference of 8.2 HU (IQR 4.3–12.1 HU), whereas either a borderline significant or no significant difference was observed between unenhanced and contrast-enhanced density values of paracardiac and subcutaneous adipose tissue ( p = 0.055 and p = 0.180 respectively), as shown in Figure 5 .
A moderation analysis showed a marginally significant interaction between preoperative anxiety and sex on chronic postsurgical pain (b = 0.15, 95% CI [−0.003, 0.30], p = 0.055).
In the SOURCE XT registry [ 72 ], the presence of CAD at baseline was associated with a strong trend towards higher 1-year mortality after Edwards SAPIEN XT valve implantation, (HR 1.22; 95% CI (1.00–1.49), p = 0.0552).
However, in our study population, PaCO 2 was lower at altitude, indicating an increased ventilation mainly due to a higher respiratory rate (tendency towards a higher breathing rate compared to NH with a borderline significance-level ( p = 0.056)).
Additionally, hormone receptor negativity showed a strong trend toward poor prognosis, with a 2.54-fold increased risk of death (HR = 2.539), although this association was borderline significant ( p = 0.056; 95% CI: 0.977–6.604) ( Table 2 ).
In this model, infection remained borderline significant (OR 1.80; 95% CI 0.98–3.30; p = 0.056), whereas cancer and malnutrition were not statistically significant.
Finally, WW patients perceived lower levels of complications or treatment sequelae (item 3), although this difference was of borderline significance (2.88 vs. 2.28; p = 0.056).
In the redo-SAVR cohort, 47.6% required concomitant procedures and ~26% presented with endocarditis, contributing to a higher EuroSCORE II that narrowly missed significance ( p = 0.056) [ 14 ].
We found that female patients in cluster 2 were significantly younger (71.3 ± 6.9 and 84.6 ± 4.0 years, respectively, p = 0.004), had higher baseline PP (70.3 ± 20.0 and 43.5 ± 15.6 mmHg, respectively, p = 0.037) and showed a trend towards lower CO (6.0 ± 0.5 and 6.8 ± 0.7 mL/min, p = 0.056) compared with female patients in cluster 3.
Although pathological stage and perineural invasion showed a borderline significant relationship with DFS, these relationships did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.056 and p = 0.059, respectively).
Baseline IL-6 showed a trend toward higher levels in the ≥3-session group (305.5 pg/mL, IQR 53.2–1306.3) than in the 1-session (143.1 pg/mL) or 2-session (37.0 pg/mL) groups ( p = 0.056), while baseline CRP and comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and COPD were similarly distributed (all p > 0.28).
