It was reported that wearing reading glasses correlated significantly with high mini-mental state examination for the visually impaired (MMSE-blind) after adjustment for sex and age (OR = 2.14, 95% CI = 1.16–3.97, p = 0.016), but reached borderline significance after adjustment for education [ 91 ].

Wall material was not a predictor of building occupancy (X 2 = 3.785, df = 1, p = 0.053) ( Table 1 ), though this was only marginally insignificant.

Distribution of p values resulting from each pairwise comparison of the discriminative peaks showed highly significant differences between the sample categories ( Fig 6A ).

The p-value (p = .06) indicated that the algorithm scores for comparing the surface versus core-located mutations approached significance at the .05 α-value, suggesting that the observed trend towards a higher algorithm score (mean score = 13.2) in the surface mutations versus mutations occurring deeper in the VHL structure (mean score = 10.4) may have biological importance ( Fig 2D ).

It may be significant to study the optimal treatment course and dosage of IN for UC on the premise of minimizing the occurrence of severe adverse reactions.

As maize showed a negative trend, in relative terms, reaching a relative value of 0.52 by the end of the period, ecoefficiency of the soybean crop remarkably increased, showing a relative final value of 7.22 in 2019 ( Fig 6 ).

Our meta-analysis showed a trend towards LDL-c reduction but this did not reach statistical significance.

Average chlorophyll a was nearly two times higher on the north-bank than south-bank sites ( Fig 5 and Table 3 ), differences that were shown to be highly significant in ANCOVA tests; watershed area and percentage of forest cover did not explain the differences observed in periphyton biomass.

As can be observed in the Figure 2, all RCMs show an increasing trend for any period and scenario.

Besides the observed increase of central hypointense signals in the unenhanced T1-sequences during follow-up and the mostly continuous decrease of central signal intensities in the T2-haste, diffusion- and T1-arterial phase-sequences, overall, a significant trend toward long-term decreasing signal intensity of arterial and especially portal venous T1-sequences was observed in the peripheral ablation zone.

The 2012 Kenya AIDS Indicator Survey (KAIS) also revealed a worrying trend of many infected male and female youth unaware of their HIV/AIDS status and this is consistent with the global trends [ 44 , 63 ].

When the p value is > .05 and < 0.10, it may be acceptable to report a difference ‘with a trend level of significance’. 3.

The number of drug resistant cases notified and treated also showed an increasing trend ( Table 4 ).

Grassland NPP showed an increasing trend during the period 1982–2011, and the increase rate over the whole period was 92.91%.

The gas concentration of the prevention technology and the traditional drainage technology shows a decreasing trend with time.

In all glycaemic control groups, height SDSs showed an increasing trend over time.

Table 1 shows that Diabetes mellitus was present in 50% of patients with MDRO colonization and 16% of MDROneg patients, and that this association was highly significant.

This reflects a positive trend that should continue into the future as the young sailors should carry their willingness and active participation in social affairs into the future and improve the social participation of sailors over time. 4.2 Evaluation and expectations of social organizations Our study examined social organizations in relation to social participation as well, responding to previous research results that organizational support could improve the quality of sailors’ life [ 33 , 34 ].

Therefore, you will see that we have not done what some authors do and highlight effects which are “suggestive”, “trend-level” or “approaching significance” - and therefore all effects that we discuss are both large in our sample and statistically significant.

However, because we have seen in our data that the association of being a study case with the presence of MAb 3/1-positive strains in standard household water samples was highly significant we felt it justified to attribute a water source to the case if the only evidence consisted of a MAb 3/1-positive Lp1 strain in the respective water source.
