Histopathology and immunohistochemistry A trend towards a higher percentage of muscle fibres containing internalised nuclei in the homozygous and heterozygous horses was observed when compared to the control horses and the difference between the 3 groups approached significance (p = 0.07) ( figure 1a ).
Similarly, a higher carbohydrate and lower protein diet had a borderline significant association with retinal venular widening (β = 2.17 μm per 0.1 log increase in percentage of total carbohydrates intake, p = 0.07) (Model 4).
There was a near-significant association between bednet use and reduced current fever rate (OR 0.52, 95% CI 0.26–1.07, p = 0.07) but surprisingly, those using bednets were more likely to have a history of fever than those without (OR 1.82, 95% CI 1.24–2.69, p = 0.002).
Main effects of emotional valence According to the pre-registered statistical analysis plan, we first examined the main effect of emotional valence on our dependent measures using ANOVAs with emotional valence (positive, neutral, negative) as independent variable: Skin conductance The repeated-measures ANOVA revealed a near-significant main effect of emotional valence, F(2,104) = 2.80, p = 0.07, η 2 = 0.05 ( Fig 2A , S2 – S4 Tables).
Excluding the high control group (in which the manipulation was ineffective), revealed a marginally significant difference t (185) = -1.815, p = 0.07, d = 0.27; the low and high groups did not differ, t (162) = - 0.925, p = 0.36, d = 0.14.
In the EU group EGR3 SNP rs1877670 showed a trend toward association (p = 0.07), and the ARC SNP rs35900184 revealed a significant association with the schizophrenia diagnosis (p = 0.02).
We initially found no significant QTL for scleral ossification when treated as a continuous trait, although we did find two marginally non-significant QTL at the significance threshold P < 0.07 ( Fig 4A ).
In cardiac nerve bundles, %AAT of 8-OHdG-ir showed a trend (p < 0.07, η p 2 = 0.367) toward an overall effect of treatment, which was significant when treatment was considered in combination with region (treatment x region: %AAT, p < 0.04, η p 2 = 0.309; OD, p < 0.03, η p 2 = 0.312).
Multivariate analysis revealed a marginally significant relationship between higher temperature at the time of malaria and the risk of accelerated declines in IgG specific for measles (p = 0.07), hepatitis B (p = 0.06) and tetanus (p = 0.07) after adjusting for age, gender, and parasitemia.
Although we also found a trend towards significance for the interaction between diurnal cortisol slope and IL-6 (p = .07) as well as AUCg and CRP (p = .06), power is limited.
Disease duration versus muscle strength and physical activity In relapsing patients, a longer time after diagnosis showed a trend with lower knee extension force (% of predicted) (Rho = -0.32, P = 0.07) and lower Baecke index (Rho = -0.31, P = 0.08), but not with elbow flexion force (Rho = -0.23, P = 0.19).
We also found that experts had a numerically greater mean trial-by-trial maximum y than novices for standard correct trials, but this difference was only marginally significant at a group-level: t(20) = -2.33, p = 0.07, independent groups t-test.
The difference between the MMN for the GP and PP groups was marginally significant at the central location (t(13) = 1.87, p = 0.07, GP = -0.82μV, PP = -0.13μV), and not significant at the supratemporal location.
For ∂ 15 N and sex, maturity stage and location a marginally significant relationship was found (∂ 15 N: p = 0.07, r 2 = 0.31, F 10,43 = 1.92) attributed to the fact that male individuals of S . pteropus do not grow as large as females and therefore occupy lower size classes with lower ∂ 15 N values ( Fig 5A ).
In contrast, the CHI-2 group showed a strong trend toward receiving more angular displacement and angular acceleration (post hoc, p = 0.07) ( S2 Fig ).
For the Left ROI, there was only a trend toward significance in terms of clinically more affected side (left more affected: −0.21 ± 0.26 dB; right more affected: −0.67±0.16 dB, p = 0.07).
Post-hoc comparisons achieved an almost significant effect (p = 0.07) of the drug in the time spent by animals in exploring the light compartment, when compared to vehicle administered animals.
Moreover, this difference (10 Hz-fit>5 Hz-fit) even approached significance (t[17] = 1.52, P = 0.07) for (inherently suboptimal) cueing at the alpha-subharmonic frequency of 5.3 Hz.
Only one study examined CSA and postnatal PTSD symptoms, with the results trending toward significance ( p = .07), consistent with longitudinal studies across pregnancy and postpartum.
