Among the top suggestive novel genes identified in Whites based on the ImmunoChip data, FCGR2C and PINX1 were only nominally significant in African Americans (p = 0.016 and p = 0.028, respectively), while among the top novel genes identified in the gene-level analysis in African Americans, UNC5C (p = 5.57x10 -4 ) and CLEC16A (p = 0.0463) were also nominally significant in Whites.
Excerpts
This difference is highly significant ( p = 0.016).
However, after Bonferroni correction (α-level = 0.0125) the effect on wing-bar brightness would turn to marginally significant ( P = 0.016).
This SNP (ss73689521 or rs55944529) showed a borderline significant association with schizophrenia (nominal p = 0.016, corrected p = 0.077) in the original sample (912 patients and 600 controls).

Although KRT14 was up-regulated in basal cells as compared to the complete differentiated airway epithelium (expression ratio 203), the borderline significance (p = 0.016) precluded it from inclusion in the human airway basal cell signature.
approached significancep = 0.016
Relative to control, monocyte counts were also increased in 6 d ‘Lung’ animals ( p = 0.007) and approached significance in 6 d ‘IA Ocln’ animals ( p = 0.016; α = 0.012 ) ( Table 5 ).
Nevertheless, after Bonferroni corrections (based on 9 pairwise tests), a marginally significant difference ( P = 0.016) appeared in the survival of R × S progenies between the two types of corn ( Table 1) .
The difference between the SZ and HC groups for item 2 fell short of significance ( p = .016).
This hypothesis is further supported as a hematopoietic progenitor cell line, CD34+ Mobilized cells, was approaching significance in the DNase hypersensitivity enrichment analysis (p = 0.016).
However, our chi-square analyses detected a strong association (P<0.00001) between those five clades and risk (MSM, IDU and HRH) and sex ( Table 4 ), still highly significant after a Bonferroni threshold for multiple tests of P<0.0167.
Linear regression analysis evidenced a positive trend for these cells as Chagas heart involvement increases (P = 0.0168), suggesting that the contraction of CD19+CD27+ cells occurs prior the onset of heart symptoms, and reverts as cardiac disease becomes more severe.
sanguisuga laboratory-raised nymph and field-caught adult microbiota indicated that nymphs harbored a greater diversity of bacterial families than adults, as indicated by Shannon and Chao1 indices, although the later did not reach statistical significance ( Fig 1A and 1B , t = 2.88, P = 0.017 and t = 0.29, P = 0.78, respectively).
As shown in Table 2 , high WTAP expression was identified in 88.4% (76/86) of left colon cancer tissue, in 81.7% (161/197) of rectal cancer tissue and in 71.7% (66/92) of right colon cancer tissue; the between-group difference was highly significant ( P = 0.017).

In the cumulative meta-analysis, the pooled OR achieved significance starting in 2009 ( P = 0.048) and showed a trend of association as published data accumulated ( P = 0.017, Figure 7 ).

Interestingly, among infertility patients, the FSHR -29 A-allele showed a trend for association with higher total testes volume (oligozoospermia based on WHO 1999, nominal P = 0.017, Table 2 ; WHO 2010, P = 0.043, Table S3 ).
A significant trend of increasing cirrhosis at EOF was observed in FVL and HVL groups (11% and 27%, respectively) compared with LVL group (5%, P = .017) [ Table 1 ].
While Buchnera showed a higher D r /D c ratio than Blochmannia , this is only marginally significant (p<0.017) by the sign test and has a relatively low ChiSquare value in the Wilcoxon test ( Table 6 ).
After correction for multiple comparisons, a marginally significant negative correlation between negative affect and VFT performance was found ( r (76) = -.27, p = .017).
However, for this bacteria, the difference was only nearly significant between the control and pSS groups (26.7% vs 66.7%, p = 0.017).
Analysis of gender-specific rates revealed an increasing trend in colonization rates in male individuals over time (p = 0.017) ( S1 Table ), while the trend for women remained unchanged.

The final stiffness to bending forces was statistically similar in all groups, but stiffness to axial compression was statistically significant different: Group A approached significance with respect to groups B and C (P = 0.017, 0.009), whereas stiffness in group B and C was statistically similar (P = 0.93).
Respiratory parameters Endoscopic findings A highly significant group*time interaction was observed for tracheal inflammation as Group AB horses had significantly higher scores than Group N at preloading (P = 0.017), unloading (P = 0.019) and 5 days AJ (P = 0.003).
The average duration of single vocalizations was 65±47 ms, with “partially noisy” vocalizations being, on average, about twice as long (115.5±92.3 ms) as “tonal with low click” vocalizations (57.5±29.0 ms), a result that was nevertheless only marginally significant ( t 14 = 2.70, p = 0.017).
