Regarding the measured values in our study, an interesting trend to drastically higher lactate concentrations in runners aiming for the half-marathon compared to runners aiming for the marathon distance was visible, possibly reflecting a poorer training state or running strategy.

Because lasers overcome these disadvantages by action mechanism, they concluded that laser-assisted irrigation is superior to conventional irrigation, and ultrasonic as well, and there is a clear trend of advanced antimicrobial effect [ 36 ].

[ 29 ] suggests that diastolic blood pressure control may be significant among CKD patients, potentially due to underlying pathophysiological differences related to vascular stiffness and volume status.

Many studies, but not all, show a highly significant correlation between salivary testosterone and free serum testosterone in adult men in the general population [ 32 , 33 , 34 , 35 , 36 ].

The summarized data on adult ESKD patients in Table 5 (A: cohorts; B:national registry cohorts) illustrate a clear trend demonstrating an advantage for HDF.

Body mass index (BMI) showed a trend toward higher values in stable KC patients (28.20 ± 7.84 kg/m 2 ) compared to both progressive patients (24.75 ± 3.62 kg/m 2 ) and healthy controls (25.69 ± 4.46 kg/m 2 ), though this difference did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.143).

However, a significant trend was observed in the EDOS group, with its proportion increasing from 13.8% in 2017 to 21.8% in 2022 (+36.9%; p -value for trend < 0.001, as shown in Table A3 ).

The study also reported that tumors with Ki-67 indexes ≥3% showed a trend toward higher rates of second surgeries and reduced early remission rates following transsphenoidal surgery, although this did not reach statistical significance [ 67 ].
