As there was an increasing trend in 6-O -sulfation and a decreasing trend in 4-O -sulfation, we took a closer look at the ratio of the two disaccharides as well.
Excerpts
Looking at the risk assessment groups, an increasing trend was observed with cancer progression ( Figure 4 f).
No statistically significant differences were detected between any of the PCa sample groups, although a slightly increasing trend of the median and average values could be observed ( Figure 3 b).
This study showed a trend of worse PFS and cancer-specific survival (CSS) with larger tumor size [ 28 , 29 ].
The results showed that pN in penile squamous cell carcinoma showed a highly significant association with the CDG and no statistically significant association with WHO grading.
Similarly, higher intra-tumoral CD3+ TILs were correlated with poorer overall survival, although this approached significance [ 110 ].
Such a problem was reflected, for instance, in the possible role of HBV and HPV, in the development of CRC, based on the colorectal tissues: the former had a highly significant association but only one publication supported it, and the latter had an association just above significance, but was substantiated by 11 publications.
The subgroup analysis between the HCC recurrence as per the year of the study’s completion revealed a decreasing trend; however, it was not statistically significant. 3.3.
Although a considerable proportion of HIR patients still received EBRT ± VBT in earlier times, a significant trend of the increasing VBT utilization rate was observed.
However, the combination of the TLR4 inhibitor with anti-TLR2 results in a highly significant decrease of this pathway.
From their results, they found that fasting was well-tolerated, improved the patient QoL over the course of the cycles, and even showed a trend in reduced hospitalizations and improved hematological parameters [ 60 ].
an obvious trendgold
In two of the datasets, PALLD expression was significantly greater in WHO CNS grade 1 tumors than in NBT ( Figure 4 G–H); while in the third dataset, PALLD expression presented with an obvious trend ( Supplementary Figure S5 ). 3.9.
In fact, prior to the start of suitable cancer treatment, the patients who are diagnosed in an early stage of the disease showed a significant trend toward the overall survival rate and were offered a cost-effective means of cancer treatment, as compared to those diagnosed at a later stage [ 4 ].
In all cases, a p -value of 0.05 and below was considered significant (*), p < 0.01(**) and p < 0.001 (***) as highly significant.
a clear trendgold
Moreover, despite the low number of patients, a clear trend in immunological changes could be observed in most patients, which strengthens the hypothesis that treatment-induced immune modulation existed.
On the contrary, in an American HCC cohort ( n = 57) assessed to immunotherapy, sex-specific sarcopenia showed a trend of worse OS (HR: 1.71, 95%) but was not statistically significant ( p = 0.215) [ 64 ].
One potential explanation here could be the highly significant association with distress as shown in the supplemental material .
Yet, when controlling for other influencing variables in the multivariate model, we found a marginally significant negative association with resilience.
an obvious trendgold
As depicted in Figure 6 A,B, the mice treated with UM-164 showed an obvious trend of persistent atrophy compared with the control group, and the effect of the 10 mg/kg group was superior to that of the 5 mg/mL group.
The results even showed a trend towards inferiority in the surgery group (median OS was 16.6 months in patients without versus 14.3 months in patients with gastrectomy).
In the multivariate analysis of distant metastasis, we found that metastases were diagnosed significantly less frequently in pT3a carcinomas than in pT3b,c, while they occurred almost significantly more frequently in pT3d carcinomas.
an overall trendgold
An overall trend in research shows that natural products have been studied mostly for their chemopreventive or chemoprotective effects; however, immunomodulatory effects remain to be discovered.
The first meta-analysis covering approximately one thousand patients showed a highly significant association of pre- and post-therapeutic sarcopenia with reduced overall survival in 7 studies with median patient ages of 57–66 years.
In the same manner, only CD1a ST had prognostic value ( Table 3 ) and a correlation close to significance with patient staging ( Table 4 ), leading to the examination of such a combination regarding OS. 3.2.
Statistically highly significant positive and negative associations with overall survival are discussed below ( Table 6 , Table 7 and Table 8 ).
