No significant discrimination was evident for age (OR 0.93; 95%CI 0.83–1.03), genetic status (OR 0.06; 95%CI 0.06–6.87), or BMI (OR 0.18; 95%CI 0.01–1.16) between groups although BMI > 30 showed a trend towards a negative impact on group differentiation, suggesting a BMI < 30 may be more commonly associated with benign status.
Excerpts
Although the results did not show statistical significance, there was a noticeable trend toward significance in the colon cancer cohort, which may have achieved significance had we been able to stratify this cohort according to tumor sidedness. 5.
GPAT4 is present in lipid droplets and may be significant in TAG synthesis in these organelles [ 29 ].
Most of the studies discussed above have not leveraged these recent advances, and therefore there may be significant potential to advance cervical cancer characterization by utilizing MRS.
Furthermore, the risk escalated with increasing percentages of in-field skin surface area, indicating a significant trend (P trend among exposed = 0.002).
a negative trendgold
In this regard, they assessed a significant proportion of patients reporting high levels of anxiety, depression, and psychological distress, among females and both among patients and partners, too, by assigning to the female sex a negative trend in psychological conditions among cancer patients.
Notably, PCI was found to significantly improve OS and showed a trend towards improved PFS.
The youngest age group observed an increasing trend in ASIR, with 17 of the 19 EU15+ countries for males and 16 of the 19 countries for females exhibiting increased ASIRs.
a clear trendgold
The variable number of total fractions in our cohort may prevent the identification of a clear trend.
a clear trendgold
A clear trend of increasing hospital stay duration with higher complexity scores was also observed; the median stay was 2 days for scores 1 and 2, 4 days for score 3, and 9 days for score 4 ( p < 0.001 for all).
Samples from the lymph-SCC group tended to be distributed in the middle of the plot in between CT and met-SCC samples, suggesting an increasing trend in gene deregulation together with tumor aggressiveness.
The analysis of MAGI-1 expression in the different clinical stages of CESC showed a trend towards decreased expression, albeit not significantly ( Figure 5 F).
Nevertheless, our analysis reports on the early period following the introduction of CDK4/6 inhibitors, and there is evidence of an increasing trend in utilization in the years following its introduction [ 35 ].
There was a single marginally significant enriched cellular component ciliary basal body (GO:0036064, FDR = 0.04), while other cellular components were not significantly enriched, including axoneme (GO:0005930, FDR = 0.07) and ciliary plasm (GO:0097014, FDR = 0.07). 3.4.
A p value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant, whereas p values ≥ 0.05 and <0.1 indicated a statistical trend. 3.
A decreasing trend in latency period was observed for subsequent primary cancers, with the median interval period between diagnoses being 4.1 years for first to second primary cancers, 2.1 years for second to third ( p = 0.000), and 1.6 years for third to fourth ( p = 0.963) ( Table 2 ).
Another limitation is the relatively small sample size, which may have contributed to the lack of statistical significance in some associations, although several approached significance.
Comparing these results between cases, we observed a highly significant relationship ( Figure 9 a, Table S31 ).
While there is an overall decreasing incidence trend in highly developed countries, an increasing trend was observed in other countries due to continuing asbestos use and environmental pollution [ 91 ].
Spearman correlations among selected variables that exhibited highly significant concurrence (“SELENOP”, “androgen receptor (AR)”, “Estrogen Receptor 1 (ESR1)”, “Thyroid hormone receptor β (THRB)”, “peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPARA)”, “Apolipoprotein C3 (APOC3)” and “Apolipoprotein 5 (APOA5)”) were conducted using R with the “Spearman” method from the psych package.
Although the difference between the two groups was not highly significant ( p -value = 0.0578), we observed a trend towards significance between Vimentin positivity and high PIVKA-II levels (above 2070 ng/mL).
a slight trendgold
However, a slight trend towards better recurrence outcomes was observed in triple-positive tumors.
a definite trendgold
The Griess reaction, ELISA, and qRT-PCR consistently pointed to a definite trend of functional remodeling and a trend towards M2 polarization of the BMDMS cocultured with GL261-GSCs exosomes ( Figure 4 d–f).
a positive trendgold
The TPS status correlated with a positive trend in ORR.
The other factor of borderline significance was older age (>65 years), which was again associated with a trend to a higher rate of mobilization failure (OR = 3.16, 95% CI 0.91 to 11.11).
