Sample type showed a marginally significant effect (p-value = 0.07), with the 6% M and 9% samples demonstrating superior performance compared to other samples.

We found a marginally significant main effect of congruence (χ 2 (1) = 3.1, p = 0.07), a main effect of task (χ 2 (1) = 5.0, p = 0.02) and no main effect of AOI (χ 2 (3) = 1.8, p = 0.6).

Does this indicate that a protein-like, low molecular weight DOC can also be highly photo-degradable if it has not yet been exposed to sunlight? The marginally significant positive correlation (p = 0.07) between the BR-DOC and PD-E w might suggest that the pools of DOC that support bio- and photo-degradation could be the same ( Fig. 2g ), as further supported by the positive correlation between a254/a365 and PD-E w (p < 0.0001) ( Fig. 2f ).

Moreover, those who reported a longer weekend sleep by 2 h or more demonstrated a 60% increase [1.60 (1.02, 2.51)], and this association was particularly striking in females [2.31 (1.15, 4.63)], although the interaction term between weekday–weekend difference in sleep duration and sex was only borderline significant (p = 0.07).

pectorosa , on the other hand, did have lower amounts of bacterial DNA in the tanks after 48 and 96 h that were nearly significant, p = 0.07 with an ANOVA test and p = 0.06 with a Kruskall–Wallis test (Fig. 6 c, Supplementary Table S3 g).

Follow-up analyses revealed that while there were no significant interactions between group and trial quadrant for phases IS and NL (all ps ≥ 0.160), there was a marginally significant interaction for the FT data, F (1,62) = 3.399, p = 0.070, partial η 2 = 0.052.

Moreover, the effect appeared to be attenuated in HuH-7, although the difference did not quite reach statistical significance ( p = 0.07, HuH-7 vs Hepatocytes).

Midsleep and bedtime at age 2 were close to significance with hyperopia at age 5 (OR = 1.36 (0.98;1.88), p = 0.07 and OR = 1.37 (0.99;1.90), p = 0.06, respectively) but not anymore after adjustment.

The association only approached significance for nonverbal vocalizations ( r [21] = 0.39, p = 0.07; Cook’s distance range = 0.00–0.56).

Interestingly, we did observe a divergent effect of infection complexity on the risk of severe malaria among children <5 years of age, who had a relatively negligible risk of severe disease with a more complex infection (≥3 identified haplotypes), compared to adults and children ≥5 years of age, who had a clear trend ( p = 0.07) towards a reduced risk of severe disease with more complex infections.

In case of prevalence of MU among tertiles of DIL and DII, a marginally significant difference of MU in tertiles of DIL was found (T1: 40.8%, T2: 37.4 and T3: 49.2%, P = 0.07).

At day 7 of adulthood, treatment with 400 μg/ml of blueberry extract, showed a trend towards elevated levels of ROS (t-test, p = 0.07) (Fig. 8C ) compared to control.

Multiple regression analysis identified BMI as an independent predictor of composite brain SUVR (β = -0.0168, p = 0.0046), while SUVR SG was marginally significant (β = -0.0714, p = 0.0701).

This aligns well with the presence of a marginally significant negative correlation in the prey group between score gains and the occurrence of dreams related to the participant’s personal life ( p = 0.0702).

However, a negative correlation between score gains and the occurrence of dreams related to the personal life of the participants in the prey role presented a marginal significance (Rho = -0.7660, adjusted p = 0.0702).

Only the interaction between Cue and Length approached significance [ F (4, 76) = 2.261, p = 0.0703].

Precipitation trends were positive, although slightly significant, with a slope of 0.3790 mm yr −1 (p = 0.0706), while solar radiation displayed a marginally significant decreasing trend with a slope of − 0.2843 W m −2 yr −1 (p = 0.0559).

Quantitative analysis of [ 18 F]MPPF uptake in the brain was increased in mice lacking functional Slc6a8 with a strong trend towards statistical significance ( p = 0.0709; WT, 0.304 ± 0.066%ID/cc, n = 13; Slc6a8 -/y , 0.358 ± 0.073%ID/cc, n = 11) (Fig. 8 A).

A meta-analysis of 191 participants from 11 subgroups based on viscosity revealed a borderline significant decrease in hunger with higher viscosity food of − 2.10 mm (95%CI − 4.38 to 0.18, p = 0.071, I 2 = 59%) (see Fig. 3 b).

This showed a trend (p = 0.071) towards a better model when pulverised hair was used, see Table 3 .

Cox regression analysis Patients with AF1q positive RC showed a trend towards a higher risk for disease recurrence ( p = 0.071), but no impact on disease-specific death.

The same pattern was evident for Sleep/Rest Fatigue scores, with a main effect of FSS change group ( F [2, 192] = 5.42, p = 0.005) and significantly lower scores in the “improved” group than the “unchanged” group ( Mean DIFF = 1.93 [0.31, 3.55], p = 0.014), although the difference between “improved” and “deteriorated” groups only approached significance (Sleep/Rest Fatigue: Mean DIFF = 1.65 [−0.10, 3.39], p = 0.071).

The effect estimates were slightly attenuated but maintained statistical significance for all pollutants except SO2, which showed borderline significance ( p = 0.071).
