Interestingly, Mann–Whitney post-hoc analysis showed a significant increase of the trust scores assigned to the untrustworthy faces in the SM condition (Mdn = 30%, 95%CI [27.5, 30]) compared to the NM condition (Mdn = 20%, 95%CI [15, 25]) ( U = 429, p < 0.001, r = 0.41) and, albeit not fully significant, to the TM one (Mdn = 20%, 95%CI [20, 30]) ( U = 636, p = 0.057, r = 0.21) – indicating that untrustworthy faces are rated as “less untrustworthy” when wearing TM and, even less, when wearing SM.
Additionally, Approach Motivation was also non-significant ( b = −0.02 [−0.07, 0.03], z = −0.84, p =.40), and Mood Disturbance was marginally significant ( b = 0.07 [−0.003, 0.14], z = 1.90, p =.057).

Since seven of our OS participants left our study before taking this (grapheme-personification) synaesthesia test, we repeated our analysis with the conservative assumption that all were non-synaesthetes and this still resulted in a strong trend for a higher prevalence of confirmed grapheme-personification synaesthesia for gender associations in the OS group compared to controls, χ 2 (1) = 3.618, p = 0.057, 95% CI [−0.004, 0.30].
Biological significance of iris flecking A general linear model showed a significant sexual difference in total iris flecking (Table 1 ), with males having a smaller amount of iris flecking than females (difference: 1.27, p = 0.02) and an almost significant relationship between total iris flecking and wing length (slope: −0.07, p = 0.057).
Separately, however, this moderation effect was marginally significant in PTSD participants ( B = −0.212, p = 0.057), but not in healthy participants ( B = −0.135, p = 0.302).
Interestingly, there was a marginally significant increase ( p = 0.057) in BeS excreted in 80-min samples between the decontamination interventions and controls.
Although the effect of intra-articular injection approached the borderline of significance (p = 0.057), other variables including age, gender, follow-up period, presence of MOL, presence of disc displacement, pain, and noise did not significantly influence the prognosis of TMJ OA.
GABA-currents recorded in KO UNT-oocytes showed a trend towards a decrease with respect to WT UNT-injected oocytes ( Fig. 6f , WT UNT, 100 ± 3.51%, n = 90; KO UNT, 87.21 ± 5.93%, n = 77, p = 0.057), while EC 50 and n H ( Fig. 6g ) remained similar (WT UNT, EC 50 = 93.74 ± 5.21 μM, n H = 1.16 ± 0.05, n = 13; KO UNT, EC 50 = 97.8 ± 4.30 μM, n H = 1.24 ± 0.06, n = 18).
The ANOVA showed an effect of background and of chromatic/luminance co m bination (F(2, 34) = 3.78, p = 0.033, ηp 2 = 0.18 and F(2, 34) = 3.83, p = 0.032, ηp 2 = 0.18 respectively), while the interaction was verging on significance (F(4, 68) = 2.12, p = 0.057, ηp 2 = 0.13).
The test approached significance (χ 2 = 5.73, p = 0.057).
Conversely, under the overdominant model, a significant association was observed in the low BMI group (OR = 2.515, 95% CI: 1.044–6.061, P = 0.040), while the result in the high BMI group was marginally significant ( P = 0.057).
The rate of positive SLNs tended to increase with the number of identified SLNs, although with marginal significance (p = 0.057).
However, we only observed marginally significant enrichment of H3K4me3 around 4C sites in LNCaP (p = 5.7e-2; Wilcoxon rank sum test, Fig. 5A ) and C4-2B (p = 4.24e-2; Wilcoxon rank sum test, Fig. 5A ) cells.
This differential pattern of freezing in males and females across the extinction and exposure session fell just short of significance [extinction × sex × block interaction; F (8, 200) = 1.926, p = 0.057].
Improvement in performance for voiced plosives differing by place of articulation was also close to significance (mean change in performance of 8.3%; SD: 11.4%; t (19) = 3.3, p = 0.057).
Importantly, the interaction between Emotion, Validity, and Goal was almost significant ( F 1,39 = 3.837, p = 0.057, η p 2 = 0.090, BF incl = 1.986 suggesting anecdotal evidence) suggesting that the spatial orienting towards emotional faces captured by this early visual component was influenced by Emotion and Goal.
The increase in plasma CRP was borderline significant 3 h post-LPS stimulation at ZT2 ( p = 0.057; Fig. 3 e) and was significant 24 h post-LPS administration at both ZT2 and ZT14 ( p < 0.01; Fig. 3 g).

Other small non-coding RNAs included in the panel [i.e., RNU6, miR-143, miR-451 and miR-125 (close to significance, P = 0.057)] shows a constant expression throughout 2, 4 and 6 days after PHx and a trend of downr-egulation compared to the expression measured at day 0 (See Fig. 7 , lower row).
