At 12 months, the success rate was 77.0% (95%CI: 69.2–84.9), with SC demonstrating a marginally significant improvement of 16.7% over CLC ( p = 0.045).
The correlation with the parameter estimates in the PCUN/PCC did not reach statistical significance (r = 0.27, 95% CI [−0.01, 0.50]; Spearman rho = 0.30, p = 0.045, Benjamini-Hochberg corrected for two tests; Supplementary Fig.
The proportion of patients achieving full MRC score within one week also showed a significant trend among the groups (EFG group, 80%; PE group, 50%; IVIg group,12.5%, p = 0.045). the proportion of unaided walking patients in EFG group was higher than PE and IVIg group without statistically differences (80% vs. 50% vs. 37.5%, p = 0.39). the GBS-DS and INCAT scores in EFG group were slightly lower than PE and IVIg group.
Although the amplitude of this difference varied by ROI ( p = 0.014), there was only a marginally significant interaction with modality ( p = 0.045).
There was a marginally significant effect of cold exposure duration on tissue damage in the rectum (F 1,46 = 4.2, P = 0.045), and the acclimation groups did not differ in the level of damage to the rectum (F 1,46 = 0.4, P = 0.515).
A statistically significant difference was presented by the samples without waterproofing resin ( F (1, 45) = 31,386, p < 0.032; R 2 = 0.411), marginally significant for the samples with the application of a layer of waterproofing resin (single layer) ( F (1, 45) = 22,618, p < 0.045; R 2 = 0.682) and not significant for double layer ( F (1, 47) = 23,853, R 2 = 0.752, p < 0.065).
No significant differences were found at the location level, and the Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) levels explained only a small and marginally significant portion of variation in photo-based NIS dominance ( p = 0.045), with no effect detected in DNA-based datasets.
The abundance of Dialister organisms at the genus level in the lower Q group also showed a decreasing trend compared with the upper Q (CE, 0.0148; P = 0.045; q = 0.220) and middle 2Q groups (CE, 0.0129; P = 0.043; q = 0.205; Fig. 5C ).
There were no between-group differences with respect to most components of the CGA upon admission, neither in the primary analysis group nor in the subgroups; a marginally significant difference (p = 0.045) was observed for the Timed Up and Go-Test (TuGT) in the hypovolemic group with a mean 33.00 s ± 18.44 s in the hyponatremia group vs. 19.64 s ± 7.81 s in the reference group (Supplemental Table 2 ).

Within-subpopulation inbreeding was barely statistically significant, and accounted for only 0.6% of the total genetic variation (F IS = 0.006, p-value = 0.045), suggesting relatively low levels of non-random mating within subpopulations.
In the two day 14 experiments where prevalence was higher by both ELISA and 18s PCR than by microscopy, differences in paired ELISA and PCR measures were non-significant or borderline significant (Day 14 Experiment 7, p = 0.046; Day 14, Experiment 8 p = 0.317).
