fumigatus was found to be significantly associated with AC, and two other variables were close to significance: the presence of mold in the air (grouped data) and the presence of non- A . fumigatus in the room air.
Excerpts
Despite the large estimation variability (as illustrated and discussed in Fig 8 ) a significant trend of deccelerating AP propagation with Δ V 1/2 can be acknowledged.
In this study, it is likely that length was inversely proportional to noise levels because of the highly significant positive correlation between length and distance of relevant vessels to tagged whales (i.e. smaller vessels were more likely to be closer to tagged whales).
A decreasing trend from 1900 until the two World Wars was found after stratifying the women into 5 year intervals ( Fig 2B ).
Because of the large sample size ( N > 1500, this might be the case when “highly significant statistics do not signify equally high biological significance” [ 12 ].
Kaplan-Meier curves revealed a significant trend across quartiles of the gamma gap ( Fig 1B ).
Multiple nominally significant associations were found between all population groups and markers in the AQP5 locus.
For example, by testing the same number of subjects as a study that reported barely significant results, you have as much chance of rejecting the same null hypothesis as you do correctly calling a coin flip [ 10 ].
However, as suggested by others the role of Tau phosphorylation in GSS [ 19 ] and in human prion diseases initiated by infection (iCJD) may be significant and contrast with its role in human prion diseases where an infectious source is yet to be identified (sCJD).
After adjustment for age, oocyte size was the only factor independently remaining associated with improved day-3 embryo cell numbers, although oocyte morphology and PB score approached significance.
Since all of these parameters showed a trend towards alterations consistent with impaired insulin sensitivity, we cannot exclude that the number of studied animals (n = 5) was too low to unravel significant DEHP effects on additional parameters of insulin resistance and impaired glucose metabolism.
a clear trendgold
We found a clear trend both for lipids and carnitines, that the unsaturated forms are increased, whereas the saturated forms are not changed or even downregulated by DEHP exposure.
a strong trendgold
However, prior to taking intelligence into account, there was a strong trend for older individuals to underproduce requested intervals and to have larger duration discrimination thresholds.
The results of this study are highly significant clinically for they demonstrate that adenovirus via subconjunctival injection holds great potential for use in both anterior and posterior ocular disorders, especially those requiring short-term therapy, and that it is a safe form of gene therapy which does not cause liver injury or systemic immune activation.
The data were expressed as means ± SEM; P values < 0.05 and P values < 0.001 were considered significant and highly significant, respectively.
In this experiment, the spectral value had a decreased trend; however, the colony growth curve presented an increasing trend.
For the Schwäbische Alb, the only variable to remain in the model was the percentage of the two kilometers surrounding each plot that is forested which had a negative effect ( Table 3 ), though the effect on allelic richness was borderline significant.
Conclusion The SS+TB incidence of Xinjiang had a decreasing trend during 2005–2013, but it still remained higher than the national average in China.
For weighted Unifrac distances, highly significant differences (coordinates 2 and 3) emerged when comparing ESCC with both healthy control and Dysplasia groups ( Table 4 ).
Here, we see that, for both emission outcome measures, ‘integration’ holds a positive, highly significant coefficient, even after the controls are entered into the model.
Minimum elevation only showed a trend for edge species, which were at lower elevations in partially deforested transects.
The tradeoff may be significant as an evolved mechanism that prevents the over-asymmetry of a karyotype for the sake of the maintenance of chromosome diversity, and it may also be a biomechanical limit of spindle fibers.
Comparison of hyperuricemic patients who did not use ULT (HUA /No gout /No ULT), to the matched reference group (No HUA /No gout /No ULT) showed a marginally significant effect on all-cause mortality (adjusted HR 1.24; 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.97–1.59) due to attrition of case number after matching procedure, and a significant risk of hyperuricemia for CVD mortality (adjusted HR 2.13; 95% CI 1.34–3.39) ( Table 2 ).
Additionally, decreases in granulocyte macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF; p = 0.07), fractalkine (CX3CL1; p = 0.09), soluble intracellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1; p = 0.086), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF; p = 0.07), and interferon-γ (IFN-γ; p = 0.07) approached significance.
The quadrant ANOVA revealed a significant 3-way interaction effect of session, affective congruence, and semantic relatedness, while in the midline ANOVA, the 3-way interaction effect was only marginally significant.
