Long-term outcome During a median follow-up of 48 (interquartile range 16–94) months, patients with persistent LV dysfunction at follow-up showed a trend for higher rates of cardiac death or HTx compared with patients showing normalized LVEF (p = 0.08, Fig 4 ).
The correlation coefficient between political orientation squared and GCBS extraterrestrial cover-up scores was close to significance ( r = .08, p = .08) and the quadratic regression line did not diverge from the linear regression line.
Since the differential expression of Opn4 only approached significance (p = 0.08), we examined the expression of Opn4 by qPCR in WT and OC1-KO retinas at E14.5.
We also found a borderline significant interaction between CHRNA5 rs3841324 genotypes and smoking status (P = 0.080), and a significant interaction between CHRNA5 rs3841324 genotypes and age (P = 0.002); however, there was no evidence for an interaction between the CHRNA5 variant genotypes and gender (P = 0.373) or drinking status (P = 0.510) on the risk of NPC.
The negative PPI from the averaged frontal regions to the temporal region was significant between LM and NM [t (30) = −2.1, P<.05], close to significance between HM and NM [t (30) = −1.8, P = .08], and significant when HM and LM were averaged [t (30) = −2.1, P<.05].
A strong trend (P = 0.08) towards increase in insulin level was also observed at 60 minutes in CBX-treated lean rats, when compared to that of control lean rats ( Figure 9 ).
Facet Level_SOLUTION2 showed a trend of explaining more variance in the factor scores of the confirmatory (5) factor solution than Facet Level_SOLUTION1 (T = 1.83, df = 24, p = 0.08, two samples T-test).
The correlation between the traders' 2D∶4D and their Sharpe Ratios, however, while displaying the expected sign, only approached significance at the 5% level (n = 47, r = −0.26, p = 0.08).
However, with only five herbivore exclusion samples, this difference was only marginally significant (repeated-measures ANOVA, P = 0.08, DF = 1,8, F = 4.0).
An exploratory analysis indicated that Track-It accuracy tended to be a stronger predictor of RT in the Proactive-Possible condition than in the Proactive-Encouraged condition, such that the interaction between condition and accuracy was marginally significant, b = 1039.20, ± 582.38, χ 2 (1) = 3.07, p = .08.
T-ALL cases that co-expressed both genes showed a trend toward worse overall survival when compared with cases that expressed neither LMO2 or HHEX ( P = .08 , Log rank test).
Exclusion of an extreme outlier (see Fig 6 ) suggests negative correlations between vBMD and age (R = -0.71), and between BW and PI (R = -0.65) as well as a positive correlation between BW and vBMD (R = 0.67) although these associations did not quite reach statistical significance (p<0.08), likely due to limited power of this feasibility study.
We have further used Student’s t -test between C and H groups for those highly interesting genes on which p-value after ANOVA was close to significance (0.05<p<0.08).
Despite the small number of cell lines tested here, we conclude that 74% of toxicity-modulating proteins in our screen appears to be different from the random sampling of proteins (borderline significance, p = 0.08 (Fischer's exact test)).
The proportion of volunteers linked by HIV sequence similarity to their suspected transmitting partner ranged from 67.1% in the Copperbelt (Kitwe and Ndola) to 100% in Entebbe but these differences did not quite achieve significance ( Table 4 , p = 0.08, Fisher’s exact test), and they did not vary by the sex of the incident case (p = 0.27).
Fig 2 illustrates that the AUD+Gambling group had higher scores in the BIS Nonplanning ( t (100) = -3.024, p = 0.003, Cohen’s d = -0.634) and the BIS Total scores ( t (100) = -2.635, p = 0.010, Cohen’s d = -0.555), and a tendency toward significance in the BIS Motor Impulsivity ( t (100) = -1.767, p = 0.080, Cohen’s d = -0.371).
However, probably due to the reduced statistical power of the analyses, this correlation was only qualified by a marginally significant interaction between Stimulus type and the state anxiety score, F(1, 43) = 3.21, p = 0.08, or between Condition and the state anxiety score, F(3, 129) = 2.38, p = .07.
Whereas increased deaths from all leukaemia and all solid cancers are indicated, with hazard ratios (HR) approaching significance, (p = 0.08 and p = 0.26, respectively) the relative risk of death from non-cancer was markedly reduced in the male patients treated with radium compared to controls (HR = 0.81; 95% CI = 0.72–0.91; p = <0.001).
Last, the share of participants who chose the taller person in the photograph when asked about knowledge differed significantly from 50% for children (girls and boys, p<0.001 in both), but only marginally significant for adults (women, p = 0.08; men, p = 0.09).
The effects of time (before and after TI) and genetic line on eye temperature were significant (P = 0.03 and 0.01, respectively), while the test time by treatment interaction tended toward significance (P = 0.08, Table 1 ).
The main effect of Stimulus was not significant, F (1,30) <1, p = .716, η 2 = .005, and the main effect of Condition was marginally significant, F (1,30) = 3.35, p = .08, η 2 = .10, but this was subsumed by a significant Stimulus x Condition interaction, F (1,30) = 14.42, p = .001, η 2 = .33.
