Removing Oxford and Cambridge as well as Queen Mary (University of London) left the correlation as significant ( r S = .633, n = 19, p = .004), although including Queen Mary (University of London) meant that the correlation did not quite achieve significance ( r S = .417, n = 20, p = .067).
5 A–C) and a 40% increase in mean numbers in CA3, which did not quite achieve significance (two-tailed t -test, P = 0.07, n = 9 for vehicle, n = 8 for Ro61-8048) (Fig. 5 D–F).

The proportion of volunteers linked by HIV sequence similarity to their suspected transmitting partner ranged from 67.1% in the Copperbelt (Kitwe and Ndola) to 100% in Entebbe but these differences did not quite achieve significance ( Table 4 , p = 0.08, Fisher’s exact test), and they did not vary by the sex of the incident case (p = 0.27).
The digging preference data revealed that nNOS −/− mice appeared to spend more time digging in the dish containing the new conditioned odor, however this did not quite achieve significance ( t 9 = 1.847, P = 0.0979).
Figure 3 B also indicates that the control group made generally fewer binocular than Dom eye mis-reaching errors, but this apparent advantage did not quite achieve significance ( P = 0.1), partly due to between-subject variability in their rates of occurrence ( Table 3 ).
Consistent with this observation, a clinical trial assessing the efficacy of secukinumab, an IL-17A–neutralizing antibody, in patients with RRMS demonstrated a significant reduction in the number of cumulative new gadolinium-enhancing T1 lesions, although the reduction in the cumulative number of combined unique active lesions did not quite achieve significance ( Havrdová et al., 2016 ).

Although suggestive, our findings regarding the potentially clearance-related plasma Aβ42/Aβ40 and pTau-181/tTau ratios do not provide clear support that the interventions affected brain clearance as the Aβ42/Aβ40 changes did not quite achieve significance and there are other potential dynamics that could affect pTau-181/tTau ratios other than changes in brain clearance.
At 24 h, the difference in FMD% between the 302-mg treatment and placebo was significant, at P = 0.02 ( Figure 3B ), but the iAUC for FMD did not quite achieve significance ( Figure 4A ).
Although, the difference between HS→CR and CR→CR did not quite achieve significance, it seems most likely to us that there is in fact a real difference between the two conditions, but that this difference is smaller than between the Same and Switch Hair/Cropped conditions.
