In general, we found a highly significant correlation between the inter-subjects variability in the PSEs and the variability of the total (net) and residual elbow flexion torques, r : -0.77 (n = 7, p = 0.04) and r : -0.99 (n = 7, p = 0.00), respectively.
Excerpts
There was a borderline significant increase in the frequency of complaints during the week before a course compared to the previous month in the placebo group (p = 0.04) and in the L . rhamnosus GG group (p = 0.11).
We observed marginally significant interactions between diabetes and rs10486567 in JAZF1 (P = 0.04) and between BMI and rs10486567 (P = 0.03).
Furthermore, there is a comparably small influence of hand on the GSR: when the data for left and right hands was compared separately at each threat there was a weakly significant difference between the hands only at the ‘late’ threat (p = 0.04, Wilcoxon sign rank test Holm Bonferroni corrected for multiple comparisons).
Although the difference, evaluated by the Mann-Withney test, did not reach statistical significance (except for schedule 1, day 14, p = 0.04), we observed a striking higher emission in the toxin treatment group with respect to the control arm.
Sighted controls’ error when the sound ended 25 cm to the right was only marginally significant (one sample, 2-tailed t-tests with Bonferroni correction for multiple comparison, t (7) = 2.44, p = 0.04).
Three-factor RM-ANOVA (target size x target location x luminance type) for BSRs showed a marginally statistically significant main effect of only target location [F(4,240) = 3.94, p = 0.04, η p 2 = 0.01)], while target size [F(1,240) = 2.13, p = 0.07, η p 2 = 0.03)] and stimulus luminance [F(1,240) = 20, p = 0.77, η p 2 ≤0.01)] were not statistically significant ( Fig 6 ).
There was a significant difference in pleasantness ratings between congenital anosmics and controls (F(1, 26) = 6.71, p = .02) with the anosmics exhibiting higher ratings than the controls, a significant main repeated-measures effect on the ratings (F(1.85, 48) = 12.15, p<.001), which showed a decreasing trend over the course of consumption, as well as a significant portion*group interaction (F(1.85, 48) = 3.54, p = .04), with the anosmic participants experiencing a less pronounced decline.
A significant trend was also observed between the tumor size and the risk of NTBL metastasis (OR = 1.48, 95% CI = 1.02–2.14, P = 0.04).
After pooling all three sets of data, only the allele frequency showed a marginal significance, OR = 1.18 (95% CI = 1.01, 1.37, P = 0.04), and CT + TT genotypes did not reach a level of significant difference, OR = 1.15 (95% CI = 0.9–1.36, P = 0.09) ( Table 1 ).
A decrease in distal zone length was also slightly significant between the two years, but only when all genotypes were considered together (p value = 0.04).
barely failed to reach significancep = 0.040
This difference was significant for the Runner group [t(9) = -3.105, p = 0.012] but barely failed to reach significance for the Team sports group [t(9) = -2.392, p = 0.040 uncorrected, with an alpha adjusted to 0.025].
In terms of performance, there was a marginally significant decrease in overall performance (from 63% to 51%; z = 2.01; p = .04).
Finally, there also was a marginally significant interaction between patient age and infection status on the underweight rate ( X 2 1 = 4.08 p = 0.04, Fig 2C ), suggesting that underweight was deteriorated by malaria infection in younger children only ( Fig 2 ).
How much does differential homophily account for the distribution of HSV-2 and is there an epidemiologically relevant relationship between sexual homophily and geographic remoteness? Is there a relationship between the proportion of an individual’s homophilous contacts and their likelihood of having been exposed to HSV-2? Using a univariate logistic regression model, we found a mildly significant relationship between individuals’ proportion of homophilous sexual partners and having HSV-2 (OR = 1.8; 95% CI: 1.04–3.13; p = 0.04).
The main effect of ISI on the size of LFP responses was not significant (F(1,868) = 3.31, p = 0.07), and even the interaction between ISI and the group of rats was only borderline significant (F(1,866) = 4.35, p = 0.04).
showed a trendp = 0.04
In a multivariate analysis, adjusted for occurrence of graft-versus-host-disease, Cytomegalovirus serostatus and duration of neutropenia, paired presence of the TLR4 1063A>G and IFNG 874T>A single nucleotide polymorphisms showed a trend towards increased susceptibility to invasive aspergillosis (p = 0.04).
of borderline significancep = 0.04
The type of FMC changed only slightly over time with minor increases in presentation to EMS and PCI capable hospitals, which was of borderline significance ( S1 Table , p = 0.04).
Experiment 2: Epifauna (Core Samples) For core-sampled epifauna in Experiment 2, the only community metric on which landscape size had a marginally significant effect was community evenness ( P = 0.04, Fig 8C ).
The results suggest no statistically significant differences after up to 48 months and borderline significant differences in favour of HVGIC sealants after 60 months (RR 0.29; 95% CI: 0.09–0.95; p = 0.04 / RD -0.07; 95% CI: -0.14, -0.01).
We found a highly significant strain effect ( F 1, 56 = 102.07, p = 3.2×10 −14 , η p 2 = 0.646), no significant effect of week studied ( F 3, 56 = 1.72, p = 0.17, η p 2 = 0.084), and a modestly significant interaction effect ( F 3, 56 = 2.96, p = 0.040, η p 2 = 0.137) using a two-way ANOVA on transformed in-cage activity data.
