Covariates used in the multivariate analysis were selected based on clinical relevance and if the p -value in the univariate analysis was <0.05 or near significance <0.1.
Excerpts
Conversely, patients who had an upper instrumented vertebra between T1 and T5 or iliac extension of the arthrodesis area showed a trend toward having a mechanical complication; these findings could be explained considering that more complex deformities are more likely to have mechanical complications.
We found a slightly significant predictive effect in meta-analyzed data of studies using the cut-off CES-D point ≥10 and ≥16, but predictive risk of AD was greater for one study using a more restrictive cut-off point (≥20).
We selected two thresholds, p -value < 0.05 and p -value < 0.00005 indicating significant and, respectively, highly significant change in expression, and further differentiated the genes based on whether they were up- or down-regulated.
Across all experimental groups, the initial decrease was highly significant.
The difference in IOP barely missed statistical significance 6 months after surgery in favor of the bevacizumab group ( Table 2 ).
These values are difficult to compare due to the quite significant difference in the numbers of participants in these studies.
VCI ( β = −0.459, p = 0.053) was also fairly significant predictors in the high-risk group. 4.
The p -value was between 0.05 and 0.1—a notable trend approaching close to significance. 3.4.
A p -value of <0.05 was regarded statistically significant, while p -values of <0.01 were considered highly significant. 3.
a negative trendgold
Patients with a TBRmax higher than 4.5 showed a significant worse prognosis than those with TBRmax ≤ 4.5 with a negative trend from 1 to 3 year survival.
Regarding PFS, a favorable trend was recorded in cases of younger patients with methylated MGMT and without residual tumor volume but without statistically significant values.
The statin groups showed a trend toward reduced MI events and death, but did not reach significance.
Use of beta blockers and higher blood pressure seemed to be protective against AKI, albeit reaching only borderline significance ( Table 4 ). 4.
The prevalence of psoriasis has been showing an increasing trend in certain countries [ 2 , 4 , 5 ].
A highly significant difference was seen between patients and controls in the education level.
Results with significance levels p < 0.10 were considered as marginally significant.
What may be significant, especially in the context of asthmatic patients, is that the one-way valve prevents the inhalation of cold air by the patient through the condenser and then prevents unintentional cold air challenge [ 9 ].
Although our previous in-vitro data showed a trend towards lower complement activation at higher doses of citrate [ 17 ], the results of the present clinical study confirm that no significant activation of complement occurs during RCA even at the standard dose.
A second important finding of our work is that urinary levels of I-TAC/CXCL11, IL6 and MCP-1 were significantly higher in ATIN as compared to ATN patients, with barely significant CXCL10 levels.
a clear trendgold
As for the effectiveness, a clear trend can be identified among the case series included.
a positive trendgold
The Negev occupies 60% of the land of Israel, and SUMC serves the entire population of the region (14% of Israel’s population, approximately 1,190,000) with a birth rate in the southern region showing a positive trend and continues to grow each year [ 23 ].
A trend toward significance for an interaction with a large effect size was found for the social and community subscale, with the intervention group showing a greater decline in this subscale than the control group at the four-month time point ( p = 0.063; g = 1.005; CI: −0.152–2.161).
In the study by Struchen et al., participants were also highly satisfied with the social peer-mentoring program and additionally showed a trend toward increased satisfaction with social life following the three-month intervention [ 51 ].
In three studies, investigating a similar “disstress management” over a one year period and following patients for an additional 5 years, there was a homogeneous trend towards reduction in cardiovascular morbidity (non-fatal MI, unstable angina, stroke, TIA, PCI, CABG, and peripheral revascularisation) that just failed to be significant (RR 0.74; 95% CI (0.51–1.07) [ 212 ].
