Considering genomic disruption levels of disease-free CTCs and relapsed patients CTCs, we observed a highly significant difference between the two groups.

Since the purity corrected p -values were still highly significant for CD74, it is indicated that CD74 is marker of immune infiltration in breast cancer, but from these results, it is hard to pinpoint a certain immune cell type it is associated with.

While RT-ddPCR analysis of hsa_circ_0001275 expression in plasma samples of 44 clinical trial participants showed a trend that mirrored the stages of disease activity (as defined by PSA level), the association did not reach statistical significance.

No significant differences were observed comparing PFS between R0/R1 and R2 patients, but an interesting trend of OS increase was found in R0/R1 subgroup (32.1 months versus 21.8 months in R2 patients, Figure 3 ).

Even though the results are highly significant, it should be noted that results achieved by Cox regression models are highly dependent on the implemented variables [ 39 ]; e.g., the UICC classification was not included in multivariate analysis, because of interfering effects when adjusting for pT- and pN classification.

Nevertheless, UICC classification has a significant effect on univariate analysis and shows a clear trend of being correlated with a higher risk of M+.

Although no superior effects were indicated between ICIs, patients who received nivolumab showed a trend toward improvement in terms of OS compared with those who received pembrolizumab and tremelimumab (HR: 0.81, 95% CI: 0.43–1.54 for pembrolizumab; HR: 0.78, 95% CI: 0.56–1.09 for tremelimumab).

A trend toward significance was also noted in the abundance of Bifidobacterium , whose fraction increased two-fold after the treatment.

One case-controlled study showed a trend toward improved survival with radiotherapy in patients with NEC of the breast as defined in the WHO 2003 classification [ 35 ], whereas another population-based analysis showed that adjuvant radiotherapy was not associated with improved survival in patients with primary SCNEC of the breast [ 20 ]. 5.3.

When patients were categorized according to ongoing treatment with calcineurin inhibitor (CNI) at the time of vaccination, the difference in antibody concentration was also highly significant. 3.5.

Over time, the number of published cases per year has shown an increasing trend ( Figure 1 ).

Encouragingly, the studies presented here showed a clear trend toward more invasive coronary therapy even in cancer patients [ 3 , 11 , 25 , 26 , 27 , 28 ].

As a result, the returned prognostic co-mutations were ascertained with three different levels of significance: (1) empirical significance due to imbalanced events; (2) significance with adjusted p -value < 0.05; (3) marginal significance with adjusted p -value falling in [0.05, 0.1].

The negative correlation between mutational burden and age is marginally significant for Caucasian ( Figure 3 I), significant for Black ( Figure 3 J) and not significant for Asian, which may be due to limited sample size. 2.4.

To further study the effects of these factors in an extended panel of cell lines, we selected the aforementioned seven ETS proteins, along with EHF and ETS2, which showed marginally significant reductions in TERT expression, and GABPA, which had been reported in other cancer lineages.

Interestingly, higher doses showed a trend towards better outcomes in this study [ 21 ].

Concerning the covariates VETC pattern, ECOG group, and NASH, we found highly significant relationships between residuals and time, as evidence for the violation of the proportional hazards assumption.

T-test analysis of mean cell numbers at baseline compared to specimens under IL-2 therapy showed a highly significant increase in CD4 + and CD8 + T cells in the group of responders ( Figure 4 b).

The knowledge of the metabolic features governing cancer cell dormancy entry/escape may be significant in developing effective targeted therapies.

Interestingly, SAMHD1 KO cells showed a trend to increased expression of both DNA damage and apoptotic markers compared to wild type cells when treated with platinum derivatives ( Figure 4 C,D and Supplementary Figures S6 and S8 ).

The difference in BMD values and >15% change measurements between males and females younger than 45 years was borderline significant ( Table 4 and Table S1 ).

The results for which p had values were >0.05, and <0.06 was considered a trend towards significance. 3.

Several studies have shown an increasing trend in continuing aggressive care for patients near the end of life, which is costly and may be of low value [ 7 , 8 ].

In many ways, this observation is unsurprising, given that there are quite significant differences between the underlying model structures, their assumptions, and their input parameters.
