Compared to untreated cells, 5-ASA and AZTP treatment showed a trend for an increase in the number of senescent cells in HCEC-1CT (Fig. 4B ).Overall, these observations provide insight on physiological effects of 5-ASA and AZTP on colonic epithelium which might affect cellular response under stress (Fig. 4C ).

Among female mice, neither the ISO nor the AIR groups displayed a significant preference for the novel versus the familiar mouse, although the AIR controls showed a trend toward spending more time in the investigation zone surrounding the novel conspecific compared to the zone times observed for the familiar mouse (Fig. 3G ; Table 3 ).

Subsequent comparisons showed ISO mice remained on the rod for a significantly shorter duration compared to the AIR control group on day 3, according to the Bonferroni criterion (critical alpha p < 0.008), and large, yet marginally significant, differences were also observed for day 2.

The male AIR group also showed a nonsignificant trend toward more entries into the zone surrounding the novel mouse compared to entries of the ISO males (Fig. 3H ; Table 3 ).

Genome-wide replication of rs139401390A > G in the Coronary Artery Disease and Renal Failure (CAD-REF) registry with a mean eGFR of 47.8 ml/min/1.73 m 2 (n = 574, p = 0.033) was only nominally significant.

This behavioral effect of introgression may be significant for salmonids, since local adaptations are common and the “optimal behavior” can vary greatly between populations 8 , 18 .

Our results show a moderate but, because of the large number of samples (252) highly significant positive correlation between genome size and cell and nuclear volume in duckweeds.

Odds ratio analysis is often followed by polygenic risk score prediction performed by pooling highly significant variants and assessing risk model performance on patient-control cohorts 9 , 10 .
