The prevalence of most comorbidities, including diabetes ( P = 0.526), kidney disease ( P = 0.287), and severe liver disease ( P = 0.875), was similar across trajectory patterns, while congestive heart failure showed a trend toward higher prevalence in trajectory 3 (30.0% vs. trajectory 1: 19.2% vs. trajectory 2: 21.9%; P = 0.058).
The probability of finding at least 3 nominally significant effects among 18 factors tested (see Table 1 ) by chance is only marginally higher than 5% (p = 0.058 according to Bernoulli equation 65 ).
A 2×2 repeated measures ANOVA revealed a significant effect of probe order, F (1, 35) = 100, p < 0.001, η 2 = 0.74, and a marginal significance of condition, F (1, 35) = 3.8, p = 0.058, η 2 = 0.10.
Milk samples in the CD group showed borderline significance for the lower relative abundance of L. fermentum when compared to the control group ( p = 0.058, Supplementary Table S5 ).
Regarding samples in young rats, a significant Spearman correlation was observed between mucosal microbiota profiles and the functional variables parameters (R = 0.32, p = 0.03); a borderline significant association between faecal microbiota and the functional parameters (R = 0.27, p = 0.058) was also found.
However, Simpson diversity revealed non-significant differences when comparing all groups (H = 7.824, p = 0.099), but significant differences between Madeira-mainland Portugal (H = 5.143, p = 0.023) and differences at the edge of significance between Madeira and Selvagens (H = 3.57, p = 0.058) (Fig. 3 b).
Not only was this pattern identified when all FC edges were examined, but, suggestively, it was also identified for the subset of edges comprising higher-order RSN nodes (the binomial test results are marginally significant, however; p = 0.058).
In addition, 20:3n-6 was associated with BAI and showed borderline significance with BDI ( p = 0.058), while 18:3n-3 was associated with PSEQ scores (Fig. 3 E–F).
However, in female AT1R myocytes, there was a strong trend (p = 0.058) for the time to 50% decay to be longer compared to AT1R males, suggesting they suffer from a greater defect in cytosolic Ca 2+ extrusion process (Fig. 5d ).
This analysis yielded a main effect of configuration, F (1, 163) = 68.26, P < 0.001 (faster RTs for repeated than random configurations), and a marginally significant main effect of epoch, F (1.35, 220.42) = 3.29, P = 0.058.
Interaction analysis showed that rs13218408 and rs16874954 had a significantly interactive effect on Lp-PLA 2 mass ( P = 0.003), and a marginally significant interactive effect on Lp-PLA 2 activity ( P = 0.058), as shown in Fig. 3 .
Finally, comparison of occurrence of SWRs during all time bins between control and Aβo-injected animals revealed significant difference for the post-encoding period (t 12 = 2.48, p = 0.029) and a difference close to significance for the post-test period (t 12 = 2.09, p = 0.058) with all other measurements remaining similar between the two groups (p > 0.2).
Bonferroni-corrected post-hoc analysis on the interaction effect revealed a significant difference (p = .03) between CS+ 1ws (mean = 523.77 ms; sd = 149.42 ms) and CS+ 2ws (mean = 540.63 ms; sd = 161.03 ms) in the second hemiblock; a marginally significant effect emerged also for the first hemiblock (p = .058), with CS+ 1ws (mean = 517.36 ms; sd = 142.10 ms) presenting slightly faster reaction times than CS+ 2ws (mean = 527.55 ms; sd = 147.02 ms).
When comparing GRPR + and GRPR- tumors, the difference in survival approached significance ( p = 0.058) (Fig. 3 B), potentially due to the limited sample size.
Regression analyses revealed that total protein content in pollen was negatively correlated with C:N ratio in pollen with marginal significance (p = 0.058, r 2 = 0.25).
The difference in DFS was only marginally significant (84.3% vs. 79.9%, respectively, P = 0.058), while no difference was detected in LRFS between the two groups (91.6% vs. 91.7%, P = 0.471).
We detected a FAAH band at the predicted molecular weight (63kda) and found that levels were trending towards significance with levels higher in females (Fig. 6 , p = 0.058 by Student’s t-test, n = 4; Full blot in Supplementary Fig.
Finally, the results showed a marginally significant interaction between priming language and prime-sentence relatedness ( F (1, 22) = 3.99, p =.058, η p 2 = 0.154).
