Unlike in the sensitive genotype, the leaf soluble sugars, sucrose, NSC, and SPS, as well as the SS activities of B73, showed an increasing trend in total Mn deficiency ( Figure 5 ), increasing by 20.05%, 17.19%, 8.8%, 75.18%, and 36.69% ( p < 0.05), respectively, and reaching the significant level.
Excerpts
Other researchers [ 31 ] have reported highly significant ( p < 0.05) correlations of DPPH • assay results with the flavonoid quercetin and quercetin derivatives, while our results show low amounts of this flavonoid in extracts ( Table 2 ).
The model showed that both NP types (Fe 2 O 3 and ZnO) presented a tendency to influence the glycated BSA fluorescence, with Fe 2 O 3 showing a marginally significant effect ( p = 0.051).
Among these QTLs, seven QTLs on chromosomes 1, 3, 4, and 8 were detected repeatedly in three environments, and one QTL ( qPH8.1 ) revealed a significant effect ( p < 0.01) at E2 and E3, but marginal significance ( p = 0.051) at E3 ( Table 1 ).
The total production (kg.m −2 ) of plants with the lowest stem density (3.33 stems.m −2 ) was ± 2.8% higher in the greenhouse with diffuse glass compared to the reference greenhouse, which was nearly significant ( p = 0.052) ( Figure 9 ).
approached significancep = 0.052
PERMANOVA analysis confirmed a significant effect of sample source on bacterial community structure (R 2 = 0.035, p = 0.001), while the host species effect approached significance (R 2 = 0.028, p = 0.052).
After controlling for Φ PSII , differences in A mass among species were marginally significant in ANOVA ( p = 0.053; Table 1 ) or not significant in the post hoc Bonferroni test ( p > 0.05 for all species pairs; Figure 2 c). 3.3.
marginally non-significantp = 0.053
This model was only marginally non-significant (χ 2 = 16.715, df = 9, p = 0.053), whereas temperature showed a significant effect (χ 2 = 7.4063, df = 2, p = 0.025), with a tendency for higher synchrony as germination temperature increased ( Figure 3 ).
lindemuthianum -inoculation on the levels of herbivory ( p < 0.01, see Table S3 ) but not for Trichoderma strain or bean cultivar ( p > 0.05, Kruskal Wallis tests), although the exact p -values indicate ‘marginally significant’ effects ( p = 0.053 for ‘cultivar’ and p = 0.057 for ‘ Trichoderma ’).
Contrast analysis confirmed significant differences between IRR and DTs ( p = 0.012) and between DT and DT2 ( p < 0.001), as well as between VGDT and VGDT2 ( p < 0.002), whereas the contrast between DTs and VGDTs was marginally significant ( p = 0.053). 3.4.2.
The number of thrips found on heather at site 1 was higher than the other sites, but only marginally significant (Kruskal–Wallis; X 2 = 7.698, df = 3, p = 0.053, Figure 5 ). 2.5.
of marginal significancep = 0.0531
For the photosynthesis measure of net CO 2 assimilation rate (Pn), there were again significant impacts of increased salt stress ( p = 0.0195) and salt stress duration ( p < 0.0001), and also the interaction between salinity and grafting was of marginal significance ( p = 0.0531).
We also found a significant positive interaction between the amount of organic farmed fields and herbicides when using TFI as a proxy of herbicide intensity ( Table 1 ; i.e., the relationship is almost significant with QA, p = 0.054; Table S1 ).
Live belowground biomass in the MRD significantly declined with increasing porewater sulfide (χ 2 = 4.98, p = 0.03, Figure 8 b), and exhibited a nonsignificant trend to decline with increasing flood levels (χ 2 = 3.68, p = 0.055).
Significant interannual differences in the annual cumulative CH 4 uptake were observed across all treatments, and the stimulating effect of moss cover on annual cumulative CH 4 uptake varied with years at a marginal significance level ( p = 0.056) ( Table 1 ).
marginally non-significantp = 0.056
However, this trait also showed some variation, as seeds from Fielder grown under the dual stress were marginally non-significant compared to control conditions ( p = 0.056), but there was a lower K concentration compared to the other lines, which all showed increased K levels.
The plant species × seed volume interaction was marginally significant (Wald χ 2 1 = 3.62, p = 0.057).
ETH also caused a notable trend ( p = 0.058) by increasing CBGA by 43%.
A marginally significant effect ( p < 0.058) of herbicide application was found for D. cinerea ( Table 2 ). 4.
OTC-injected trees also exhibited larger scion trunk circumferences (30.0 cm) than control trees (28.7 cm), though the difference was marginally significant ( p = 0.0585).
The only comparison that was close to being statistically significant ( p = 0.0588) was for GA untreated, non-mycorrhizal plants with or without aphids (−GA −/+PA − AMF) versus GA-treated, non-mycorrhizal plants with or without aphids (+GA −/+ PA − AMF) ( Figure S2 ).
A marginally significant association between cultivar resistance and response to metalaxyl was found (χ 2 = 9.10, df = 4, p = 0.059), whereas the frequency (27.4%) of metalaxyl-sensitivity among isolates collected from moderately P. infestans -resistant cultivars tended to be lower compared to susceptible (47.3%) and resistant cultivars (42.1%).
Pollen non-abortion rates only differed in a marginally significant way across reproductive phenotypes (F 2,36 = 3.00, p = 0.06).
For the lower part of the stem (below 2 m), statistically significant differences in relative volume growth were observed based on the length of the bark stripping scars ( p = 0.02); however, in the case of full stem volume and the upper section of the tree, the differences were marginally significant ( p ≥ 0.06–0.09).
showed a trendp = 0.06
Our study showed no differences in shoot and seed biomass, except on Quinhua which showed a trend ( p = 0.06) towards lower seed biomass in the heat treatment, supporting our conclusion that a ‘heat wave’ by itself is not a major stressor for quinoa in the long term.
