When this control set is used instead of our healthy subjects, the association of early-onset SLE barely missed significance level (P = 0.059) due to the small sample size of the controls; however, the OR was 1.47 (95%CI 0.99–2.19), and was slightly higher than the OR observed with our controls (1.44, Table 2 ).
After 6 weeks of WD feeding, female CCL3 −/− →LDLR −/− mice showed a significant decrease in lesion area compared to their controls ( P <0.05; Figure 1A ), while male CCL3 −/− →LDLR −/− mice showed a trend toward a reduction in aortic root lesion area compared to C57BL/6→LDLR −/− controls ( P = 0.059; Figure 1B ).
We also identified a variant in the CD163 gene that approached significance in our validation cohort (p = .059) with significant association in the overall cohort.
On the other hand, the analysis of newborns with or without premature delivery showed a trend for lower serum vitamin D in preterm births (20.2±8.5 vs 16.9±8.4 ng/mL, P = 0.059).
BMI showed a trend toward significance, but did not reach the conventional threshold (OR = 0.896, p = 0.059). sex and age did not significantly contribute to predicting CIMT status ( Table 4 ).
There was a significant effect of selfish intention (β 3 = −1.85, t = −3.25, p<0.01), but no significant effect of generous intention (β 4 = 0.75, t = 1.02, p = 0.31), and a marginally significant interaction between stingy intent and stingy outcome (β 5 = −3.03, t = −1.91, p = 0.059) but no significant interaction between generous intention and generous outcome (β 6 = −0.39, t = −0.29, p = 0.77).
05, which remained partially significant when including previous miscarriages, sex of the fetus and antenatal depression as covariates, F (1, 37) = 2.99, p = .059; Anxiety subscale, F (1, 42) = 4.21, p <. 05, even when controlling for previous miscarriages, sex of the fetus and antenatal depression in analysis, F (1, 37) = 8.79, p <. 05, and the GSI subscale after including previous miscarriages, sex of the fetus and antenatal depression as covariates, F (1, 37) = 5.10, p < .05.
There was a marginally non-significant difference between treatment groups during t 1 ( β (SE) = 4.67 (2.24), t = 2.08, P = 0.059), while no difference was observed between treatment groups during t 2 and t 3 ( t 2 : β (SE) = 0.64 (1.99), t = 0.32, P = 0.755; t 3 : β (SE) = –0.03 (2.07), t = 0.02, P = 0.987; Fig 1a ).
6.2 in men, marginally significant at p = 0.059; and 2.1 vs. 1.9 in women, p = <.0001) and past year partners (1.9 vs. 1.6 in men, p = <.0001; and 0.78 vs. 0.83 in women, p = 0.012).
On the other hand, participants who followed the relaxation instructions with the instrumental meditation music reported a marginally significant decrease in alertness ( p = .059, Bonferroni-corrected), whereas the opposite was observed for participants who followed the relaxation instructions with the drumming sequence ( p = .054, Bonferroni-corrected).
Importantly, the decay of adaptation in Probe2 was delayed for G1, such that adaptation in the final bin was larger for G1 compared to G2, with a difference close to significance ( Fig 3C ; Tukey-Kramer corrected ANOVA: p = 0.059).
Calendar year showed a near-significant independent association with mortality after adjustment (adjusted OR 1.43, p = 0.059), suggesting that factors beyond disease severity classification are contributing to worsening outcomes.
At the occipital sites, the learning effect was significant on the left hemisphere for the OL group (P = 0.028), and marginally significant on the right hemisphere for both groups (ML: P = 0.059; OL: P = 0.053) (see Figure 9 ).
Statistical analyses calculated for false alarms rates resulted in significant effect of Picture Category, F (1.539, 56) = 34.70, p <.001, η2 = .55, and the interaction Group×Picture Category showed a trend towards significance, F (1.539, 56) = 3.29, p = .059, η2 = .11.
Benthic Primary Production and Community Respiration Primary production (NPP and GPP) was significantly stimulated by the nutrient addition (Nu × D), but not by warming, with the exception of GPP being almost significantly affected by warming (W × D, p = 0.059) ( Figure 2A, 2B, 2E, 2F , Table 2 ).
Two pairwise comparisons were found to be significant, namely, those involving scops owls and little owls (R = 0.402, p = 0.004), and scops owls and tawny owls (R = 0.338, p = 0.002); the comparison between scops owls and barn owls was close to significance (R = 0.162, p = 0.059).
The difference in Simon effect (incongruent RTs—congruent RTs) between the positive manipulation and the neutral manipulation was marginally significant, F (1, 34) = 1.2, MSE = 285.65, p = .059.
Expression levels of BigDop1 were significantly lower in gynes than in workers (Mann-Whitney U-test, z = −1.965, P < 0.05; Fig 4A ), but expression levels of the other three tested genes did not differ significantly between castes ( BigDop2 : z = −1.890, P = 0.059; BigDop3 : z = −1.587, P = 1.112; BigDopEcR : z = −0.302, P = 0.762; Fig 4B–4D ), although levels of BigDop2 were almost significant ( P = 0.059).
