Resulting group-level oscillations were nominally significant (G-cosinor p < 0.05) in 5.9% to 85.8% of ROIs across seven of the nine MRI metrics (Supplementary Table 4 ).
Excerpts
In stage 2, we investigated the SNP with the strongest association at each region in the Asian populations and found that eight were nominally significant ( P <0.05) with an effect in the same direction and generally the same order of magnitude ( Table 1 ; Supplementary Fig. 4b ).
However, 17 other covariates were nominally significant ( P -value<0.05) for HGF and 4 (weight, sample round, systolic blood pressure and age) remained significant after correction for multiple testing.

A p -value Bonferroni-corrected for 378 independent liver enzyme loci was used to determine significance ( p < 1.3 × 10 −4 ); alleles trending toward significance ( p < 0.05) were also reported separately.
Using significant meQTLs on chromosome 1, analyses using only African American samples ( N = 112) showed that 99.91% of the meQTLs were directionally consistent with the full analysis, with 92% marginally significant ( P < 0.05) and 66% genome-wide significant (FDR < 0.01) in the smaller sample size and an overall sharing of π 1 = 0.995.
Genes with nominally significant ( P < 0.05) estimates of SNP-heritability (cis- \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$h_g^2$$\end{document} h g 2 ), are then put forward for training predictive models.
Secondary GWAS ( N = 255,426), excluding shiftworkers and individuals with chronic health or psychiatric illnesses, additionally identified significant variants in SEMA3D and revealed marginally significant interactions with health status at PATJ, ZENF326/BARHL2, ECE2, ASAP1 , and CYP1A1/CYP1A2 (interaction P < 0.05; Supplementary Fig. 6 , Supplementary Table 7 ).
Thirty additional associations (24 positive, six inverse) were nominally significant ( p < 0.05).
Univariate linkage disequilibrium score regression (LDSC) 24 analysis showed nominally significant heritability for all 37 phenotypes ( P < 0.05, Table 1 ).
p < 0.05 was considered as statistically significant (*), p < 0.01 as highly significant (**) and p ≥ 0.05 as not statistically significant.
The branch‐site test showed that only estrildid FSHR orthologs had a large nonsynonymous (dN)/synonymous (dS) substitution rate ratio (branch-site dN/dS of ω » 1) that was highly significant (likelihood ratio tests [LRTs], P < 0.05) (Fig. 1b ).
The remaining seven associations were nominally significant in the meta-analysis ( β between −0.05 and −0.07, p < 0.05) (Supplementary Data 2 ).
*** P -value < 0.001 extremely significant; ** P -value 0.001–0.01 very significant; P -value > 0.05 non-significant.
In 23andMe research cohort, 45 out of 51 lead SNPs available (88.2%) replicated with a consistent direction of effect at a Bonferroni corrected significance threshold of 9.8 × 10 −4 ( P -value = 0.05/51) and additional 2 SNPs were nominally significant ( P < 0.05) (Table 1 and Supplementary Fig. 4 ).
According to BADGERS, the reference panel comprises 1738 traits from the UKB 17 , selected on the basis of nominally significant SNP-based heritability ( P < 0.05).
We found there was a slight trend of a decrease in the 3 dB cutoff frequency in L5 relative to L2&3 neurons ( p = 0.050, Fig. 4d ).

3c ), and immune scores showed a trend and modest correlation with PFS (Spearman ρ = 0.35, p = 0.05; Fig. 3d ).
Markers with nominally significant p-values in one or more cell populations ( P ≤ 0.05; e.g CD39, CD38, Ki-67, PD-1) were visualized in boxplots; statistical significance computed using the linear mixed model were further confirmed using non-parametric Wilcoxon rank sum test.
Nominally significant ( P < 0.05 but not meeting Bonferroni threshold P < 0.00238) included negative correlations with educational attainment and autism spectrum disorder and positive correlations with migraine, insomnia, and multiple sclerosis (Fig. 2a , and Supplementary Data 1 ).

While none passed multiple testing correction, mainly because of a lack of power since we have a limited sample size in an analysis with thousands of parameters (clones), we could observe that the few clones that approached significance ( P -value < 0.05) were shared across patients only in PR group and enriched at 24 months post transplant.
Of the 236 prefrontal cortex DMPs, 92% (217 probes) were nominally significant ( P < 0.05) in the temporal gyrus, of which 12% (28 probes) were Bonferroni significant, whilst 9% (22 probes) were nominally significant in the entorhinal cortex, with 1% (3 probes) reaching Bonferroni significance (Fig. 1b ).
We note that although APOE has previously been identified as a AD TWAS gene in microglia 83 , we did not highlight it in our scTWAS results because it did not pass Stage 1 screening, despite nominally significant Stage 2 associations in proliferate, surveilling, and reacting microglia (nominal p -values < 0.05).
Among female-specific fertility traits, LDSC identified nominally significant ( P < 0.05) r g between increased MPB severity and fewer number of live births ( r g = −0.06, SE = 0.02) and increased age of first birth ( r g = 0.04, SE = 0.02) (Table 1 ), suggesting shared genetic risk.
