Our primary aim was to determine whether any observed performance gain is clinically meaningful, defined as a statistically and practically significant margin over resident performance that could justify integrating the model as a decision support aid during patient work-up and surgical counseling.
Excerpts
In 2014, there was a sharp increase followed by fluctuations towards a decreasing trend, although levels remained higher than before the event.
The existing literature shows an increasing trend in AF hospitalizations over the years [ 1 , 14 , 15 , 16 , 17 , 18 ].
A p -value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant and a p -value < 0.01 was considered statistically highly significant. 3.
Given that Turkey’s fertility rate is declining each year [ 52 ] and C-section rates are as high as 60% [ 53 ]—with an increasing trend—it can be expected that UI prevalence may decrease.
In the case of the active range of motion of the affected upper extremity in the frontal plane evaluated with the Armeo system ® , the p -value was very close to statistical significance.
Furthermore, an increasing trend was observed in the need for more intensive interventions with advancing age ( Figure 2 ), suggesting a possible association between aging and the severity of nutritional risk. 3.4.
Although not statistically significant, menopause status ( p = 0.084), MI > 50% ( p = 0.094), and para-aortic lymphadenectomy ( p = 0.133) showed a trend toward poorer survival.
It is quite significant that even with the growing evidence regarding the safe use of ARNIs in this population since 2018, the proportion of patients remains almost the same in different but comparable cohorts [ 36 ].
The level of significance was set at p < 0.05, whereas 0.05 < p < 0.10 was considered a tendency (marginally significant or trend). 3.
While Klotho levels of the recipient and donor before transplantation may be significant, Klotho levels measured after transplantation are not associated with decline of renal function in our cohort.
However, an exploratory subgroup analysis of CPS ≥ 1 with 22C3 antibodies showed a trend toward better use of avelumab (median OS, 14.9 months vs. 11.6 months; HR, 0.72).
From the association plot between fluid balance on day 1 and the predicted probability of 28-day mortality, the predicted probability of mortality showed a relatively stable pattern in the negative fluid balance range but demonstrated an increasing trend with more positive fluid balance ( Figure 3 ).
[ 43 ] noted that both fine hand mobility and cognitive ability approached significance in predicting self-care performance in multiple regression analyses.
While the increase in the overall study population and in the >45 years group was significant, the increase in the younger subgroup was barely significant ( Table 3 ).
Pairwise comparisons showed that patient survival difference was marginally significant for W-W vs.
An increasing trend of HT prevalence (from 24.5% to 37.4%) with RA duration was reported during a 5-year follow-up in a prospective study by Innala et al.
The rates of plastic surgeries and other surgeries were low and did not exhibit a significant trend. 3.4.
Radiobiological indices exhibited consistent and highly significant differences across all metrics, reinforcing the profound influence of inhomogeneity correction on biologically modeled dose outcomes.
Furthermore, early mobilization did not increase the risk of complications such as implant failure or screw cut-out and even showed a trend toward promoting fracture healing (healing time: 10.2 ± 1.8 weeks vs. 12.5 ± 2.3 weeks).
Of note, BMI showed only a borderline significant association; thus, this result should be interpreted with caution.
More recently, an encouraging trend has emerged toward multicenter cohorts and external validation, in contrast to earlier works that relied heavily on single-center data and internal validation techniques.
A p -value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant and a p -value < 0.01 was considered statistically highly significant.
The findings suggest that bruxism behavior in cases of malocclusion may be significant in TMD.
Moreover, there might be significant bias related to publication, the retrospective design of the study, and the focus on rare or unusual cases.
