For all models a clear trend was the difference in soil type, with the sand-based soil having either higher weights, greater emergence, or lower disease indices; while lowest weights and less emergence, as well as higher disease indices were for loam soil and low temperature.
The analysis shown in Figure 1C demonstrated a highly significant negative correlation between the antibody levels against either prefusion or postfusion F in the acute phase and the fold change in antibody titre one month later.
Consequently, the main general advantage of AD method, which is its large sensitivity, becomes a weakness in this application, as small differences with respect to the null distribution (that may also arise from its approximate nature), are (conveniently) not captured by KS, but are classified as statistically highly significant by AD test, leading to low AD specificity (a large number of false positives).
The possible ability of Type I CRISPR-Cas to effect DNA repair would be highly significant for B. fragilis , which is very susceptible to the DNA-damaging properties of oxygen exposure.
Real-time PCR showed that only three OsCIPKs were up-regulated, and two of them exhibited highly significant differences compared to the mock rice, suggesting that OsCIPK29 and OsCIPK30 might be involved in the host response to RSV infection ( Figure 4 ).
Expression of pilS and traL was not significantly up-regulated at this time point, but an increasing trend was seen. traI did not show up-regulation at this time point.
By contrast, a decreasing trend in pH was observed as vegetation restoration progressed, in accordance with previous studies ( Robertson and Vitousek, 1981 ; Schipper et al., 2001 ; Dmowska and Ilieva-Makulec, 2006 ; Holtkamp et al., 2008 ; Zhao et al., 2014 ).
In general, most parameters showed an increasing trend toward the north with highest concentrations in the Pacific subarctic region and the Bering Sea.
We found a highly significant correlation between protist and bacterial alpha-diversity measures across termite host species using Shannon's H (Figure 2 , Pearson's product-moment correlation P = 1.43 × 10 −5 , r 2 = 0.51) as well as between the total number of protist and bacterial taxa (OTUs Figure S2A , Pearson's product-moment correlation: P < 0.05, r 2 = 0.19).
In particular, exposure to meropenem or levofloxacin resulted in a highly significant reduction in biofilm vitality, with a concentration-independent effect.
CSP tended to be enriched in the SML in the open and coastal stations, while it showed a decreasing trend in the SML of the upwelling stations (data not shown).
CB-75 on banana chlorophyll content As shown in Figure 6 , with increasing transplanting period, the chlorophyll content of CK1 continued to rise, the chlorophyll content of CK2 showed a decreasing trend, but the chlorophyll content of the plants in the CK3, A, and AB treatment groups first decreased and then increased.
The chlorophyll content of CK3 and A showed an increasing trend, 0.81 mg/g and 0.68 mg/g, respectively, but the final value was always lower than that of CK1 treatment.
The inverse association between the percentage of built area and diversity ( R 2 = 0.26, p < 0.001) and richness ( R 2 = 0.26, p < 0.001) of Bacteroidetes was relatively weak but highly significant.
