Second, patients who received a greater number of overall therapies showed a trend toward longer OS, as did those patients who received a greater number of clinically beneficial therapies.

Although non-significant, our results in the intermediate- and high-risk groups showed a small trend towards the possible risk reduction of statin use on the development of BCR after RP.

Nonetheless, the induced cell death in D283 and D341 cells still remained quite significant when compared to their untreated control cells.

DoR: Correlation with Survival In the overall assessable population, a highly significant association of DoR, both as a continuous and a discrete variable, with PFS and OS was found ( Figure 3 , Table 3 ).

This difference was highly significant and the methylation status was able to predict the presence of cancer.

Radiomic features can also identify distinct GBM phenotypes associated with highly significant survival differences and specific molecular pathways [ 36 ].

However, this observation seems time dependent, because at 20 weeks there was a strong trend towards more WT mice with moderate inflammation throughout the colon compared to Gsdme KO mice, while at timepoint 22 weeks and 24 weeks there was an inverse trend towards more Gsdme KO mice with moderate inflammation compared to WT mice.

If we look specifically at inflammation associated with adenocarcinomas, we were able to find a clear trend showing a more severe grade of mononuclear cell infiltration in the Gsdme WT adenocarcinomas when compared to the Gsdme KO adenocarcinomas in the chemical experiment.

Moreover, nuclear-specific localization of the ARV7 protein within the CTCs might be significant in terms of guiding treatment selection in mCRPC patients [ 20 , 21 ].

Slightly significant reduction in pure-tone average (PTA) and in the speech discrimination score (SDS) was measured, which, however, were functionally not relevant ( Table 1 ).

We have recently identified SF3B1 on chromosome 2 as a Copy-number alterations Yielding Cancer Liabilities Owing to Partial losS (CYCLOPS) gene with a highly significant positive correlation to hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF1α) [ 26 ].

On the other hand, IL-6 serum levels did not significantly correlate with the PMI but only showed a weak trend towards a negative correlation ( Figure 2 B), meaning that sarcopenic patients tend to have higher levels of the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-6.

In HepG2 cells, the expression of total and phosphorylated cyclin B1 significantly increased while cdc2 showed a trend to increase after 24 h treatment in the presence of EVOO2 ( Figure 3 A,B).

This revealed a clear trend in increased accumulation of exogenously administered BMDMs in tumors of CLO liposomes-pretreated mice compared to tumors of PBS-pretreated mice.

Somewhat encouragingly, the extended survival times of animals, that tolerated the combination treatment in vivo, approached significance when compared with vehicle cohort.

The knockdown of Rab9 suppressed Zta expression in HA cells ( p = 0.0448) at a barely significant level ( Figure 2 d).

In addition, PARP-1 cleavage fraction, which thought to be a marker of apoptosis, also showed an increasing trend with a higher concentration of TFP treatment and rescued by the pan-caspases inhibitor Z-VAD-FMK ( Figure 1 E).

In pancreatic cancer, systemic levels of IL-1β and IL-6 showed a trend towards the development of future thrombosis [ 44 ].

Indeed, in our review of the literature we found a robust association between proliferation, assayed by Ki-67, and presence of invasiveness with 62% of revised reports suggesting a positive correlation [ 145 , 146 , 147 ] and 38% indicating an unclear association, albeit with a positive trend [ 13 , 148 , 149 ].
