IMPT 1.04 ± 0.01, p < 0.001); however, no significant difference was apparent in the HI and CI of CTV.
Excerpts
a positive trendgold
In female rats, there was a positive trend in the incidence of renal tubule adenomas, which became significant in the 400 ppm 3-MCPD group [ 14 ].
Statistical significance was defined as p < 0.05, with p values between 0.05 and 0.1 considered marginally significant.
Other genetic abnormalities in AML cells may be significant in the treatment of patients, for example mutations in the FMS-like tyrosine kinase-3 ( FLT3 ) gene [ 6 ].
The inverse of that was found in the present study with a borderline significant increase in PDCD1LG2 [PD-L2] between st-FL and nt-FL samples, as well as an even further increase in tFL samples.
However, the intensity of the phenomenon was marginally non-significant.
Age is a highly significant risk factor, and possibly the most important one, as numerous studies from around the world have demonstrated that older age is associated with a higher chance of developing a malignant breast lesion.
This trial, and some of the prior ELND trials, showed a trend toward improved survival with ELND, but this did not reach statistical significance.
Exploratory subgroup analysis showed a trend favoring FLA-VIDA in all investigated subgroups ( Figure 2 ).
a clear trendgold
Quantification revealed that TRPC1 expression was highest in grade 3 tumors and lowest in normal tissue, showing a clear trend of increasing TRPC1 expression with advancing cancer grades ( Figure 1 B).
This information was not recorded in the same way across the two cohorts (see methods), but a clear difference was apparent.
In that study, OCA2, KITLG, SLC24A4, and TPCN2, which are all associated with blond hair or blue eyes, did not show a nominally significant association with the risk of CM or BCC.
a small trendgold
In contrast with a previous study [ 12 ], we did not find a significant interaction between sex and time of distress level 6 months apart, but only a small trend to a worsening in males.
Notably, secondary liver malignancies and concurrent exemestane use were associated with an increased risk of hepatitis, while the absence of anti-HBs antibodies showed a trend, though not statistically significant, toward increased HBVr risk, which may be due to small sample size and missing antiHBs titer data.
a clear trendgold
A clear trend towards more patients undergoing antileukemic therapy (2005–2011: 19% vs. 2012 and after: 71%) can be observed.
The raising awareness towards APL-like symptoms and the modern tools led to an increasing trend, over time, in the number of reports on new entities ( Figure 2 ).
a positive trendgold
Although the Kawaguchi system did not show strong predictive ability, a positive trend was evident, supported by a high Spearman coefficient.
Following this period, an increasing trend in reported cases of cardiotoxicity associated with various oncological agents has been observed.
Regarding OS, hemoglobin less than 120 g/L and age older than 70 years were significantly associated with shorter OS in univariate analysis, whereas Ki-67 > 30% in bone marrow, lymph nodes or other tissues showed a trend toward statistical significance.
Two of the analyzed studies [ 28 , 29 ] and PNCR data [ 8 ] consistently pointed to an increasing trend in the incidence of bladder cancer in Poland from 1980 to 2013.
Even though the greatest impact of HPV-associated diseases is related to cervical cancer, an increasing trend is registered for head-neck and anogenital cancers [ 2 , 3 ].
This may be significant, as gastric carcinoma is more common in men.
Although the study showed an association between lower OPG levels and breast cancer development, the results were only marginally significant due to the small sample size.
This meta-analysis of 10 observational studies also did not show a statistically increased risk of cancers in patients taking TNF-I (RR 1.42, 95% CI 0.72–2.79) ( Figure 4 ) but did suggest a trend toward significance with both longer exposure to TNF-I and longer follow-up.
The analysis revealed a highly significant difference between the groups, with a p -value of 1.860560 x 10 -11 and a U statistic of 11204.5, indicating a strong separation in the distribution of SUCLG1 expression between HCC or CC and their control groups, respectively ( Figure 2 ).
