27 In 2011, a narrative review investigated the same issue, disclosing a favorable trend of prolotherapy in treating osteoarthritis and chronic tendinopathy. 6 In 2016, Sit et al conducted a meta-analysis regarding the use of dextrose in the treatment of symptomatic osteoarthritis, mentioning a potential positive effect of prolotherapy.
also observed a favorable trend of BBs use in ICIs-treated lung cancer patients, but it was not statistically significant ( 11 ); our larger sample and rigorous methodology likely yield more reliable results. β-adrenergic receptors (β-AR) are widely expressed in tumor cells, immune cells, and vascular endothelial cells.
However, there was no statistically significant difference in terms of mPFS between the combination treatment and lenvatinib alone (HR: 0.66; 95% CI 0.39–1.10; P =0.12), despite a favorable trend. 35 Notably, the benefit in terms of PFS was confirmed by a blinded independent radiologic assessment. 37 Overall response rate (ORR) was 43% for patients receiving the combination therapy, compared to 6% for patients treated with everolimus alone (rate ratio 7.2; 95% CI 2.3–22.5; P <0.0001); ORR was 27% for the single-agent lenvatinib arm, but data compared to those of the combination arm were not statistically significant (rate ratio 1.6; 95% CI 0.9–2.8; P =0.10).
The results indicated that a two-dose vaccination with GBP510/AS03 induced stronger neutralizing antibody and cell-mediated immune responses than ChAdOx1-S against the ancestral D614G strain 2 weeks after the second vaccination, sustained a favorable trend to GBP510/AS03 up to 6 months, and had a clinically acceptable safety profile up to 6 months after the second vaccination ( Song et al., 2023 ).

In a secondary analysis of an exercise-based RCT in women with breast cancer, higher SOC was associated with lower perceived need for psycho-oncological care and demonstrated a favorable trend toward reduced study dropout (relative risk, 0.43; 95% CI, 0.18–1.00), although associations with exercise session attendance and intervention dropout did not reach statistical significance [ 27 ].
Contrary to expectations [ 25 ], our study found no significant increase in RMR following 10 weeks of CRT, although there was a favorable trend, with the lowest proportion of participants experiencing a decrease in RMR (26 % vs. 38 % and 42 % in the VegMedD and empagliflozin groups, respectively; NS).
