In addition, consistent with the GA 4 quantification, ABA content in KAR-treated seeds had an increasing trend, compared to CK ( Fig. 6c ).

Principal component analysis (PCA) was performed on the dataset, which showed a trend of intergroup separation on the scores plot (figures not provided).

These results suggest that the homologous amino acids sequences contribute to the highly significant correlations between the antibody responses against VP1 of the various enteroviruses.

However, improper timing does not seem to be the major factor in this study, because, rates of successful pregnancy were not related to the number of matings which occurred within any given oestrus ( Table 1 ); in addition, there was a highly significant effect of social environment on the probability of maintaining a pregnancy after returning home from mating elsewhere ( Fig. 1 ).

At lower temperatures (305 and 315 K), the I-V showed a trend similar to that of the space charge limited current (SCLC), i.e., at a low (absolute) voltage, the slope was close to 1, but as the voltage increased (as the carrier injection increased), the slope became close to 2, due to interactions between the trapped carriers 21 36 37 38 .

Interestingly, although selection and algorithm termination in the simulations were based on the whole transcriptome and the dimensionality of the optimization problem was hence constant in all simulations, very small transcription factor regulons showed a trend to evolve faster in all cases ( Fig. 5 , left column).

Cr poisoning during cell firing mostly degrades Ni-YSZ anode and thus it is not quite significant in this study since we have deposited Ni-YSZ on pre-fired substrate.

Quantitative immunoprecipitation demonstrated that SOD1-knockdown HEK293 cultures show a highly significant 15–25 fold drop in misfolded HuWtSOD1 compared to non-knockdown HEK293 cells when incubated with conditioned media originating from mutant FUS, as well as wild-type and mutant TDP-43, transfected cells ( Fig. 2e,f ).

These results do not follow a strong trend, however.

small “p” values in t-tests and Kullback-Leibler Divergence Measure (KLDM) values, confirm that the differences in the TMD lengths of all the organelles are highly significant, especially w.r.t. plasma membrane, and from each other.

We observed a slightly increasing trend of AL and VCD with age in this study.

Despite the occurrence of the reformation reaction for long milling time (after 6 h), the destruction reaction prevailed and a decreasing trend of the dioxins content is observed ( Fig. 2a ).

This latter result might be due to the highly significant decrease in the phosphorylation NFκB p65 in PC-3 cells since the level Bcl-2 is regulated by NFκB in prostate cancer cells 39 .

Considering that our predicted gene contribute to nitrogen-associated processes which is quite significant for lactose metabolism, the discrepant distribution of such gene may partially contribute to the regional functional differences of lactose metabolism processes, which in turn, validates the accuracy of our algorithm 28 .

Because ES1 was used at lower concentrations compared with ES2 and VS2, the effect of ES1 on the oocytes was less obvious; consequently, determining a notable trend for the comparisons between viabilities of the J. fragilis and E. robusta oocytes under different conditions was difficult ( Fig. 4a,d ).

Survival analyses showed a trend towards a greater attainment rate of target HbA1c level in individuals with a high genetic score in the repaglinide cohort and rosiglitazone cohort ( P log-rank = 0.0815 and 0.0867, respectively) when the attainment of treatment targets were defined as more than 20% decrease of FPG, 2hPG, and HbA1c levels after treatment.

Historical records and model predictions suggest that there is an increasing trend of drought events, in terms of both frequency and intensity, which will have a profound impact on the coupled carbon and water cycles 5 , 6 , 7 .

This shows an increasing trend with the increase of the CuZr layer thickness.

A clear trend of lower CK levels in plant tissue pre-treated with loss-of-function CNT transposon or Δ miaA knockout mutants was observed compared to G20-18 (ratios of 0.82 to 0.89).

Our observation that α-GalCer expanded mostly the CD4 − subset of NKT-cells may be significant for how swine were protected against disease, because in mice and humans CD4 − NKT-cells are highly cytolytic and produce Th1-cytokines 34 , which are important for lysing virus-infected cells.

The three genome-wide significant results were then investigated further by examining their association with coronary artery disease (CAD) using a large sample (n = 5,765 CAD; n = 7,624 controls) with two linked SNPs, located in the ELF5 gene region, nominally significant.

There appears to be a clear trend: the more weight there is assigned to exploratory steps, the easier it appears to decide on the node groupings.
