Analysis of Lot-R (assessing optimism and pessimism) revealed a nearly significant difference between the two sub-groups (t (39) = −2.012, p = 0.051) with lower scores in participants with positive Δ TENS effectiveness (12.61 ± 0.83) compared to those with negative Δ TENS effectiveness (15.22 ± 1.02), suggesting that the former were more pessimist than the latter ( Fig. 4f ).

Age stratification revealed younger-old (65–75) achieved 24% improvement (d = 1.38), middle-old (76–85) achieved 19% improvement (d = 1.12), and oldest-old (86+) achieved 14% improvement (d = 0.89), with age-by-time interaction marginally significant (F(2,297) = 3.02, p = 0.051) suggesting slightly attenuated but still substantial effects in oldest users.
We found that there were significant positive correlations between the DMN-SN ( r = 0.367, p-value = 0.021), SN-CEN ( r = 0.325, p-value = 0.043) and verging on significance for the CEN-DMN ( r = 0.314, p-value = 0.051).
The inoculation X date and the inoculation X site X date interaction effects were not significant (p ≥ 0.75) and the inoculation X site interaction effect was nearly significant (p = 0.0511) (Table 1 ).

approached significanceP = 0.0513
However, the attenuated survival of a capM deletion mutant approached significance ( P = 0.0513, two-tailed Mann-Whitney).

Biofilm quantities on sample collection time point 77 remained elevated over pre-treatment (0) quantities and the comparison was nearly statistically significant (adjusted p-value = 0.0513).
Although there was a tendency for, overall, fewer mosquitoes to land when exposed to looming squares, this effect was only marginally significant (Generalized linear model: p = 0.0514; Fig. 2 C).
We detected significant differences in the predicted probability of choosing human between four of the six paired comparisons (p < 0.05) and one pair with a marginally significant difference (p = 0.0514) (GLMM, human = fixed effect, colony = random effect).
not quite statistically significantp = 0.0517
Although this was not quite statistically significant ( p = 0.0517), we believe these data are compelling when viewed alongside the immunological parameters measured.
Analysis of the pattern of errors showed that there were similar amounts of premature fixation break errors prior to any stimulus change event with 0.075 mg/kg/24 h compared to control days, while higher doses were loosely linked with a statistical trend to higher proportions of premature fixation break errors (Wilcoxon rank sum test, p = 0.0518) ( Fig. 2E ).
The recessive model also retained a marginally significant association ( p = 0519, OR = 1.899, 95% CI, 0.995–3.624) with GBC.
