Although the differences for wild-type and EPPK −/− mice were not significant, the amylase values at the six hours timepoint showed a clear trend towards higher levels in EPPK −/− mice ( Fig. 4K ). 24 hours after induction of pancreatitis, serum lipase and amylase levels had returned to almost basal levels, and histopathology showed no significant differences between EPPK −/− mice and their littermates ( Fig. 4G, H, I, J, K ).
In addition, edema and inflammation both showed a trend towards elevated scores nine hours after induction of pancreatitis in EPPK −/− mice; however, the difference did not reach statistical significance with p = 0.08 and p = 0.16, respectively ( Fig. 4I ).
At day 4 p.i., all three treatment groups (zanamivir and celecoxib combination, zanamivir alone or celecoxib alone group) showed a trend of reduction in the pulmonary levels of proinflammatory cytokine IL-6, IL-1β and RANTES although this reduction was not statistically significant ( Fig. 7a ).
[2] repeatedly found a moderating effect of between-person differences in job demands (in their case work pressure) on the curvilinear relationship between trait neuroticism and general task performance, we only found a statistically significant moderating effect in one out of three studies, together with a clear trend in another one (i.e., Study 1).
As can be seen in Figure 1 , for both high and low task complexity the state neuroticism-momentary task performance relationship showed a trend towards curvilinearity.
The only exception was D2Mit395 (LOD 2.7), which showed borderline significance when analysed using MapManager, but with Cartographer the marker fell just below the significance threshold of LOD 2.8.
1984 shows a significant trend towards increased severity only in parts of the Southwest [6] , yet findings are varied in other studies depending on the spatial scale, selected data types, and the location of study (e.g.
It is important to note however that the Freezers had a lower cognitive status compared to Non-Freezers (t(28) = 0.64, p = 0.053), although this was not quite significant.
Cages 16R3 – 19R3 (also derived from 16R1-19R1) also show a decreasing trend in p ( a ), but were not maintained for long enough to detect definite trends.
We found a consistent effect with the total difficulties scale, though the parental scale at 11 did not quite reach statistical significance at the 5% level.
In addition, increasing polymeric hordein also increased grain zinc concentration and highly significant positive correlation was found between grain Zn concentration and percentage of [(B+γ)−C] or [(B+γ+D)–C] hordeins in the grain ( Table 2 , Figure S2 ).
I found a weak trend showing that the power to predict the known NRI increased and the power to predict the known NTI decreased as the number of taxa in the assemblage increased ( Fig.
The density of new neurons in the left NCM, but not right NCM, showed a trend toward a significant correlation with song learning, but not with our measures of memory.
However, even here, effects were weaker than in the other two experiments as they became only marginally significant for the entire frontocentral cluster, and significant only at the central frontal site (FCz).
The statistical results derived from a total of 71 different patient samples, demonstrated a highly significant association between ZEB1 protein induction and a diagnosis of an acute ischemic episode ( Figure 8B ).
A number of inhibitors for muscle mass growth showed a trend for decreased expression over time in this study, indicating that the development of breast muscle increases with the age of the duck.
Similar to the findings of Raby et al [16] , we have demonstrated a clear trend of decreasing sensitivity with decreasing CD4 cell count in HIV-positive patients.
A positive trend of sensitivity with increasing CD4 cell count was observed for HIV-positive patients when stratifying CD4 cell counts into groups of <100, 100–200, 200–300, 300–400, 400–500, >500 (p = 0.03).
