When analysis of variance (ANOVA) detected effects above borderline significance ( p < .10), post hoc power analyses were performed using the simr package [ 73 ], and a 95% confidence interval was reported (number of simulations: 1000).
The RMA was completed using the Mixed Procedure of SAS [ 47 ], and further multiple means comparison was completed for significant ( p -value < 0.05) or marginally significant (0.05 < p -value < 0.1) effects by comparing the least squares means of the corresponding treatment combinations.
However, in this analysis, there was a tendency toward statistical significance (P = 0.1) showing a difference in potency between the two groups to the effects of Δ 9 -THC.
NAc FC values between the mPFC and the right NAc showed a trend towards a positive correlation with mPFC Glx/NAA (r = 0.47, p = 0.10) during the EO condition that became significant with Glu/NAA (r = 0.67, p = 0.012).
We also find that ethnic heterogeneity is positively associated with violent crime, albeit at the marginally significant threshold (p < .10), while the percentage of Black residents also shows a positive association with the outcome.
A marginally significant association ( P <0.10) was found for three additional SNPs: rs1045485 (2q33/ CASP8 ), rs4849887 (2q14/ INHBB ), and rs4808801 (19p13/ ELL ).
For the tone condition, the difference fell short of significance: χ 2 = 6.32, d.f. = 3, p = .10, but for the syllable condition, the difference was highly significant, χ 2 = 14.7, d.f. = 3, p = .002.
All variables that displayed a moderately significant statistical relationship with osteoporosis in the univariate analysis (P < 0.1) were included by forward selection in the multivariate analysis ( Table 3 ).
The interaction between FUT1 genotype and age showed a trend of significance in the number of Enterobacteriaceae (P < 0.1) and a significant effect in the number of haemolytic bacteria (P = 0.03).
In addition, given the relatively small number of studied lambs (related both to the complexity of the ovine model and ethical constraints), it was decided to give full consideration in the discussion to the presence of a significant trend, defined as P<0.1.
Analyses of the variability of reaction time (measured as a subject's standard deviation of reaction time) revealed a marginally significant main effect of timbre [ F (3,81) = 2.20, p <0.1]; post-hoc tests determined that response times were marginally more variable during flute-tone discrimination than during pure-tone discrimination ( Table 2 ; p <0.08); no other significant differences were found.
In mothers, there was a small trend for CMS to correlate positively with child age ( r = .20, p < .10), perhaps reflecting increasing knowledge about the child’s internal mental states and thus increased certainty about them.
Including all 45 sessions observed for the current study, the overall audience (59% female) and speaker composition (57% female) did not significantly differ from the membership survey results (both comparisons approached significance at p<0.1).
In the independent analyses for AML patients and MDS patients, beneficial effects on OS by the donor G/G or A/G genotype were also found, which was close to being significant in both the AML patients (adjusted HR, 0.68; 95% CI, 0.42–1.09; P = 0.10) and the MDS patients (adjusted HR, 0.61; 95% CI, 0.35–1.08; P = 0.09).
The RT for both the phoneme discrimination and for the phoneme spelling approached significance ( b = .586, t (30) = 1.720, p = .100 and b = −.446, t (30) = −1.987, p = .060, respectively).
Because of the small sample size in this pilot study, we also report marginally significant results (p < .10), and are careful to interpret these results with caution.
In contrast, more boys than girls screened positive for SOR at age seven years although the difference was only marginally significant (60 girls, and 82 boys; OR = 1.2, 95%CI 1.0–1.6, p = .10).
For T2, the correlation coefficient for Yourself for perceived support by older relatives was marginally significant ( p < 0.1), while the coefficients for both Yourself and Future generations were both significant for perceived support to younger relatives ( p < 0.001).
