Three out of four survival-associated SNPs passed multiple testing correction using the FDR method [19] for 11.8 independent SNPs ( p = 0.013, 0.0067, 0.0073 for rs130274, rs1962223 and rs715572, respectively); the fourth SNP (rs5754312), showed borderline significance after correction (p = 0.053).
For instance, the difference between PCOS and non-PCOS subjects regarding live birth rates was of borderline significance (p = 0.053, women-based analysis); according to our power calculation (data not shown), a sample of 175:350 women would be needed for the optimal power of 90%, whereas our meta-analysis included 161:353 women.
Joint Analysis of Pneumonitis Risk Alleles In combined analysis, the significant SNPs together with an additional borderline significant variant – IL4R: rs1801275 ( P = 0.053) – showed an increase in pneumonitis risk as the number of unfavorable genotypes increased ( Table 3 ).
We also observed that oPRL reduced the percentage of lactotropes in G2/M with borderline significance (p = 0.053) ( Fig. 3D ), without other alteration in the progression of the cell cycle in the lactotrope subpopulation ( Fig 3 B, C ).
This approached significance (p = 0.053); however, DU145RD exosomes did not significantly alter the proliferation of DU145 cells ( Figure 6A (i)); possibly as a consequence of the slower growth rate of the cells from which these latter exosomes were derived.
Upon examination of the locality level, the increase observed with Wm traps was significant for all (BOU, CYA, CAR, GRM and KAR; all p < 0.037, S1 Table ) but two localities (GAM and WAD, the latter showing only marginally significant increase, p = 0.053, S1 Table ).
Greenhouse-Geisesr corrections revealed a marginally significant main effect of window ( F (1.42,34.14) = 3.567 p = .053, Ƞ p 2 = .129) with a linear trend over time ( F (1,24) = 3.757, p = .064, Ƞ p 2 = .135).
Compared to the untreated mgR/mgR Marfan aorta that did not have contact with adenovirus, the NI was significantly larger in Ad.hTIMP-1-treated (p<0.001) and borderline significant in Ad.β-Gal-treated mgR/mgR aorta (p = 0.053).
Results were similar when male participants were excluded from the analyses, with a few exceptions: For the Orbicularis Oculi a main effect of AU12 just fell short of significance ( F (1,19) = 4.27, p = .053, η p 2 = .18), with higher EMG to stimuli containing more of AU12.
Infected bees in field colonies had nearly a 3-fold increase in average JH titer compared to controls ( Figure 4B ); this difference was marginally significant ( F 1,119 = 3.81; p = 0.053).
Lambda (the path length normalised for network size and connectivity), as a measure of global network integration, showed a trend for a difference in trajectories over the 24-week study period in the beta band (MMRM, F(2,279) = 2.97, p = 0.053; ICC = 0.083) (See Table 4 and Figure 5 ).
In addition, several parameters narrowly missed statistical significance, such as fasting triglycerides (p = 0.053), both fed (p = 0.07) and fasting cholesterol (p = 0.09), and alanine aminotransferase (p = 0.08), all of which were mildly elevated in Hmgn5 tm1/Y mice [10] .
In short, there was a marginally significant first-order effect of ethnocentrism on prestimulus alpha power (β = 0.14, t (158) = 1.95, p = .053), but no other first-order or interaction effects.
In addition, the three-way interaction between taskset, previous congruency, and present congruency approached significance for this sample ( F (1,66) = 3.89, p = 0.053).
The first two dimensions from the non-metric multidimensional scaling of the Bray-Curtis dissimilarity matrix ( Fig 4 ) reveals a slightly significant different distance between the three groups (p-value = 0.053, from 999 permutations of the analysis of variance).
Alternatively, injury/trauma cases were (borderline significance) more common in October (25.4% versus 24.0%; adjusted OR 1.109, 95% CI 0.999–1.231; p = 0.053).
IGF1R gene copy number was a highly negative prognostic marker for all NSCLC patients (p = 0.037), but was even more significant in males (p = 0.015) than in females (p = 0.021).Finally, a high IGF-1 expression showed a trend as a negative prognostic marker in males (p = 0.053) but not for the whole cohort population.
However, the same samples tested for genotype II-specific neutralizing antibodies showed that LaSota group was significantly increased at 28 dpv (p = 0.031) and borderline significant at 14 dpv (p = 0.053) ( Fig 4D ).
A near-significant correlation was observed between sCD14 and sTNF-rII in HIV-infected subjects (p = 0.053, rho = 0.20), but we found no associations between sCD14 and the other pro-inflammatory markers, or between LPS and any of the pro-inflammatory markers in either of the groups, except IL-10 in HAART-naive subjects (p<0.01, rho = −0.57).
The uncorrected (see below) shift across these 29 species ( S1 Table ) averaged 95.3 ± 88.2 m (95% CI) upslope which is marginally significant ( t 28 = 2.02, p = 0.053).
Paired samples t -test conducted on the percent change between the first posttest trial and the mean of the pretest trials approached significance for the visually-slower condition, t (9) = −2.23, p = .053 and reached significance for the visually-faster condition, t (9) = 5.67, p <.001.
