All of the models that were generated were highly significant, as the p-values ranged between 0.018–0.001.
Excerpts
During the training period (days 29–32), we observed that as the training time extended, the escape latency of the mice in the saline/saline/saline (control) (F(3, 47) = 4.103; p < 0.05; Figure 4 D) and STZ/LiCl/MC5523 (F(3, 31) = 4.091; p < 0.05; Figure 4 D) groups showed a decreasing trend.
A 2016 meta-analysis including over 10,000 pregnancies found that the fish oil group had a significant 22% reduction in risk of ePT birth (RR 0.78, 95% CI: 0.64, 0.95) and marginally significant 10% reduction in risk of PT birth (RR 0.90, 95% CI: 0.81, 1.00), as well as ~6 days longer gestation [ 19 ].

The rate of increase in the maternal self-efficacy in the task of eating fruit was strongly positive in the intervention condition (from 49.16 at baseline to 58.19 after the 3-month evaluation) than the comparison condition, which showed a negative trend (from 50.08 at baseline to 47.66 after a 3-month evaluation).
As regards the results at the end of the follow-up period, HDL-C and TMAO levels registered slightly significant variations in respect to the end of the treatment period ( Table 3 ).
Quali-Quantitative Analysis of the Polyphenolic Fraction The variability shown by the samples was taken into account, in terms of extraction yields of hydroalcoholic extracts, is highly significant in regards to the differences existing among geographic provenance, cultivars and even sub-varieties grown in the same geographic and pedoclimatic conditions but only the quali-quantitative profile obtained by HPLC-DAD analyses could show the real differences in terms of polyphenolics, and specifically for ellagitannins.
However, an interesting trend towards some improvements has emerged: More adequate levels of fiber and sugar than in the past have been reported in the surveys of the last two years.
After adjusting for covariates (household wealth index, marital status, sex of household head, mother's age, child's age, malaria status, time*group interaction, empowerment, number of children and adults in household), T3–T1 ( p = 0.079) and T3–T2 (0.0824) became marginally significant in intervention group.
WPI treatment lead to significant direct changes in active B 12 and serum folate, however changes in MMA did not quite reach significance.
The prevalence of skipping breakfast ranged 10–30%, with an increasing trend in adolescents, mainly in girls.
All in all, even minor hop compounds may be significant carriers of taste, not only from the soft resin, but also from the hard resin hop fraction [ 127 ]. 3.2.5.
Differences with p < 0.05 and p < 0.01 were considered significant and highly significant, respectively. 3.
In the complete case analysis, the association was less highly significant in the BMI models where the covariates included in the model appear to have a negligible impact on the effect estimates of DEP3, while in the waist circumference model, each included confounder reduces the effect estimate substantially, although the DEP3 effect remains sizeable and highly significant.
All the estimated standard deviations of the random coefficients (ASCs) were highly significant, confirming the suitability of the model.
Page’s trend test, instead, was used to verify if there was a significant trend (decreasing or increasing) taking into account the three measures simultaneously.
Conclusions Our research showed a trend towards a younger AAM and related non-communicable disease risk during the 20th century in Mexico.
While some key variables approached significance, none reached the a priori statistical threshold of 0.05.
The role of the microbiota in this increased acetate production of obese/IR states, particularly in the fasted state may be significant [ 46 ] and may lead to altered glucose-stimulated insulin production, fat storage and could ultimately lead to insulin resistance.
In this study the association for GI and diabetes risk was only borderline significant (HR = 1.08; 95% CI 1.00–1.17).
Effect sizes (i.e., Cohen’s d [ 34 ]) were calculated for changes that were significant or showed a trend for significance, with an effect size of <0.2 as a trivial, 0.2–0.39 as a small, 0.4–0.69 as a moderate, and ≥0.7 as a large magnitude of change.
The squared term for time had a negative value, indicating a quadratic equation with an increasing trend (inverted U pattern).

An age-adjusted linear regression analysis also showed positive trends of T-associated dietary pattern scores with total body fat mass ( p for trend = 0.002), visceral fat mass ( p for trend = 0.001), and subcutaneous fat mass ( p for trend = 0.035) but a negative trend between scores and skeletal muscle mass ( p for trend = 0.002) ( Table 6 , age-adjusted). 4.
However, it should be noted that both dyspnoea and clinical diagnosed asthma also showed a trend of a higher PRS.
Conversely, when comparing the number of patients positive for depression ( Figure S3, Supplementary File 6 ), they consistently reported a nonsignificant trend towards a lower number of depressed patients in the compliant group, with no difference between the proportion of depressed patients at one year and four year follow-ups ( p = 0.86; I 2 = 0%).
With regard to the hematologic values associated with myocardial cell injury and heart failure, such as CK, CK-MB, BNP, and NT-pro BNP [ 33 , 34 ], we detected a slight decrease in the level of NT-pro BNP after 24 weeks of supplementation ( Table 2 ), but a highly significant negative correlation was found between plasma coenzyme Q10 and CK activity after 24 weeks of supplementation ( Table 3 ).
