The association between SFA and TrFA intake and Tyzzerella was borderline significant after adjusting for dietary quality.
Excerpts
When only women with normal adiposity were included, the F/B ratio showed a trend toward an inverse correlation with prepregnancy BMI and with weight gain during pregnancy when it was within the parameters of the gain of weight recommended by the IOM, 2009 [ 23 ].
Despite no significant change compared to the placebo, an increasing trend in NOx was recorded in the intervention group [ 94 ].
On the other hand, the concentration of other endogenous antioxidant markers, such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione (GSH), and lipid oxidation markers, such as thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances (TBARS), did not show any significant difference between the intervention and control groups, despite a decreasing trend observed for SOD in the intervention group.
a negative trendgold
In both crude and age-adjusted analyses, a negative trend was observed for exposure to FOPL and family income, with individuals from lower-income families having greater exposure to FOPL than higher-income individuals.
In detail, participants in the highest quintile of the TLI (highest scores) had 3.7% less risk for developing dementia per year of follow-up compared with those in the lowest quintile, with a significant trend for a dose–response association ( Table 3 ).
Other nutritional biomarkers and factors showed a trend that failed to reach significance in the regression, i.e., BMI, lipid profile, vitamins (D and B12), and total energy intake. 4.1.
a positive trendgold
This is a positive trend, since the 24 h recall method has been considered the most appropriate method to assess nutrient intakes in lower-income settings [ 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 ].
A review of 63 randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trials of dietary supplements in Western adults found that in 45 of them no benefits were observed, 10 showed a trend toward harm, and 2 showed a trend toward benefit, while 4 reported actual injury and 2 reported both harms and benefits.
In addition, 1,25D treatment showed a trend towards faster recovery of surviving mice from SARS-CoV-2 ( Figure 3 ).
However, the association was attenuated and became marginally significant after further adjusting for BMI and hypertension (model 4).
Although only marginally significant, adults with OD are also more likely to have the lowest IPR. 3.2.
a positive trendgold
The results for the full sample and follow-up period ( Figure 1 and Figure 2 and Table 2 ) revealed a positive trend in the association between the Western dietary pattern and CRC risk that gained strength when the analyses were restricted to the first 10 years of follow-up, with a 53% increase in CRC risk for participants in the highest quartile of adherence (HR Q4vs.Q1 (95% CI): 1.53 (0.99–2.36)) and a non-negligible positive trend that, despite not being totally linear ( Figure 2 ), seemed to be fairly steady (HR 1SD-increase (95% CI): 1.17 (0.99–1.37); p for trend = 0.087; p -value for the curvature of splines = 0.173).
The authors observed that compared to the MOD-MEDDP, the WDP was significantly associated with a higher risk of frailty when stratified by sex and a borderline significance when analyzing the whole sample whereas no significant difference was observed when compared with the HI-MEDDP.
However, the baseline values for PCS and MCS were not statistically significantly different between the groups and rather showed a trend towards lower baseline values in the intervention group.
Discussion Our results showed an important protective effect from the consumption of omega-3 (total and subtypes), with a 2% to 65% reduction in the risk of maintenance of depressive episodes, depending on the fatty acid consumed in the omega-3 family, with borderline significant associations.
Effect of CDFC on Body Weight and Organ Coefficients in Aging Mice As intervention time becomes longer, the overall body weight of mice in the SD group showed a decreasing trend, indicating that the body weight of aging mice decreased with the aging of the organism ( Table 2 ).
Within-group comparisons demonstrated a reduction in BAAT ( p = 0.076) in the curcumin group, which was approaching significance.
a positive trendgold
Furthermore, both groups showed statistically significant differences between baseline and month 3 regarding the non-invasive film tear breakup time (NIF-BUT) score and a positive trend related to Shirmer’s test at month 3.
In all three surveys, a significant difference ( p < 0.05) was found in sodium availability in the rural area with respect to the urban area, with an increasing trend in the latter ( Figure 2 ).
In Malaysia, the prevalence of overweight and obesity in the government and private work sectors showed an increasing trend with a 5% increment from 2011 to 2019 [ 2 , 3 ].
Concerning MCFA, CR, IF, and FMD reduced the levels of cecal C6, FMD increased caprylate (C8) level, while IF and FMD showed a trend towards reduction of laurate (C12).
In addition to the increased expression of Bcl-2, the expression of inflammation-related markers, such as cytosolic phospholipase A2 and cyclooxygenase 2, had a significant trend of increasing; this was accompanied by the decreased expression of the tissue inhibitor of the metalloproteinase (TIMP) 3 protein.
Although there were no significant differences in clinical relapse in this 6-month RCT, we found that adherence to the AID maintained and even showed a trend towards reduced FCP levels, suggesting that this diet may have a beneficial role in preventing the onset of subclinical colitis.
The prevalence of all five components of MetS showed an increasing trend with decreased serum vitamin D. 3.4.
