The most significant differences among the different centers include the age of the patients ( p = 0.009), the sites of infection ( p < 0.001), and the proportion of ICU admissions for medical or surgical pathology ( p = 0.058), with a borderline significant value, whereas the severity of the cases did not differ among the centers ( p = 0.799); the lack of precise enrollment criteria likely accounted for these variations.
Excerpts
For the protective sentiment of optimism, both peer SI-exposed and not-exposed users reported a positive trend with DPS use (SI-exposed n = 997; non-exposed n = 1022), with no significant group difference (ANCOVA p = 0.834).
Bulging also appeared not to be linked to medial or lateral row dissection ( p = 0.206, with a small trend toward a higher risk linked to lateral row dissection) and neither to the number of perforators included, i.e., one or more than one ( p = 0.999).
Pain and mRS scores showed a trend toward improvement after 6 months of compression therapy.
MMSE performance showed a trend toward lower scores in the PA group, however the difference was not statistically significant.
Within the total cohort, the majority of cases were female (56.7%), with a borderline significant difference between diagnostic categories.
Higher VEGF serum concentrations in comparison with the controls were also confirmed in patients with the highest values of cIMT (M = 465.1, p = 0.065), as well as those with the presence of LA (M = 445.7, p = 0.060), aCL IgG (M = 404.6, p = 0.090), aPT of all isotypes (M = 403.0, p = 0.068), and anti-histone antibodies (M = 406.1, p = 0.077), but these results presented only a statistical trend.
Moreover, we revealed an interesting trend toward a correlation between high VEGF levels and the presence of anti-histone antibodies, which may also serve as a marker of disease activity and flare.
Though this second connection may introduce some intravascular air into the patient, this step only accounted for an additional 2–3% increase in intravascular air volume, on average, during our study, suggesting it is less likely to be significant.
Interestingly, an SHR less than 1.25 showed a trend toward a lower risk for POF, although these results were not statistically significant.
Additionally, for both variants, we found a highly significant association between positive CTLA-4 overexpression and malignancy.
In contrast, microstate class C was significantly reduced in occurrence and showed a trend toward reduced coverage.
In the small sample of 12 patients with eGFR values of 15–29 mL/min/1.73 m 2 , the high event rate (66%) produced an adjusted HR of 2.50, with a nominally significant p -value (0.019).
a notable trendgold
With regard to the technical aspects of primary THA, there is a notable trend toward an increasing use of uncemented femoral stems over the years [ 3 , 4 ].
a strong trendgold
While there is a strong trend toward reducing corticosteroid use in pediatric IBD due to known adverse effects, high-dose pulse therapy may represent a strategy to limit cumulative steroid exposure in selected severe cases by achieving faster disease control and avoiding prolonged tapering regimens.
Since the analysis revealed highly significant differences between groups in the main target variable “functional capillary density” at all the measurement time points, it was decided not to conduct any additional experiments to compensate for these losses in the sense of the commonly accepted 3Rs [ 31 ].
a clear trendgold
Patient’s Characteristics and Mechanism of Trauma Analysis of the collected group of eight cases revealed a clear trend towards post-traumatic splenic torsion in young patients.
Nonetheless, there was a numerical trend favoring the intermediate dose, suggesting potential added benefit in patients at higher risk of progression.
a clear trendgold
A detailed analysis dividing patients by the degree of atrial enlargement revealed no statistically significant differences in long-term survival but a clear trend toward lower mortality in patients with normal or mildly enlarged atria.
While cardiovascular death showed a trend of increasing HRs with increasing LDL-C levels, these differences were not statistically significant.
In patients with mild NPDR, there was a slight trend towards visual improvement, though it did not reach statistical significance.
Furthermore, similar to the study by Zamper et al., we did not observe statistically significant differences in the overall complication rate or mortality, despite a favorable trend in the VET group [ 11 ].
Next, subgroup analyses, especially those of Nx patients, had a small sample size, which resulted in borderline significance of the analyses, most likely due to the limited statistical power.
a negative trendgold
Spearman Correlation Analyses The results of the Spearman correlation analyses indicated a negative correlation between the “additional score” and the difference in BMI, as well as a negative trend between the “additional score” and weight difference in Group A ( Appendix A : Table A1 ).
Furthermore, numerous moderately significant correlations were also found.
