The relationship between the changes in CBF velocity (MCA) and the changes in cardiac output at rest and during dynamic exercise was linear and highly significant [ 24 ], indicating that carotid–cardiac baroreflex function or cardiac function-mediated cardiac output, as well as blood pressure, is important to the regulation of CBF velocity [ 25 ].
Excerpts
a clear trendgold
While our data suggest a clear trend, the mechanisms behind these gender-specific survival advantages remain to be fully understood.
A forest plot showed a trend of a non-linear dose-response association between Hct levels and ischemic vascular events in male patients.
a slight trendgold
We only found a slight trend noticeable after uptitration, which may depend on the high number of GDMT at the timepoint of discharge from hospital.
Multivariate analysis showed approximating significance with p = 0.05. 3.4.
In 2000, there was an increasing trend of implantation of large diameter and hard bearing surface prostheses in THA, particularly metal-on-metal (MOM), with an estimated 1 million hips implanted worldwide [ 3 ].
Such Treg exhaustion was marked among the splenic lymphocyte population, and it was almost significant among the tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes.
Although there was a marginally significant difference in the incidence of PCa, no significant differences were observed in the incidence of other cancers ( Table 2 ).
In particular, a decreasing trend in HF hospitalizations during the first waves of the COVID-19 pandemic was reported, together with changes in interventional and surgical practice [ 4 , 8 ].
Both PD-L1 status and treatment line (first line) showed a trend toward longer PFS.
a clear trendgold
According to the Cox model, the COVID-19 pandemic was associated with a significant reduction in the utilization of Sacubitril/Valsartan (HR = 0.77, 95% CI: 0.65–0.91, model adjusted also for calendar time, given that Sacubitril/Valsartan prescriptions showed a clear trend during the study period) and implantations of CRT/ICD (HR = 0.85, 95% CI: 0.78–0.92), but it had no significant effect on the probability of receiving an MCS (HR = 1.11, 95% CI: 0.86–1.43) or undergoing a HTX (HR = 0.88, 95% CI: 0.70–1.09).
High psychological job demands showed a trend towards a reduced risk of developing RA.
This would have resulted in highly significant results even in non-relevant differences.
In their second animal model study, the authors were able to demonstrate a highly significant favorable neurological outcome for animals with head elevation during the first 20 min of post-resuscitation care, whereas histopathologic findings did not show corresponding differences between the groups.
A statistical trend towards higher estimated glomerular filtration rates was observed in the arrhythmia groups (79 mL/min in both groups vs. 65 mL/min).
Age, diabetes duration in years, ulcer size, and severity wound score average exhibited an increasing trend for increasing grades of ischaemia severity ( Table 1 ).
Non-ischaemic patients exhibited a decreasing trend in ischaemia rates from one to two and three affected foot zones (71.1%, 22.6%, and 6.3%, respectively).
The logistic regression statistical analysis showed that, among the variables considered, the invaded margins and the tumor volume were predictors of local recurrence, the volume at borderline significance.
In many cases, the radiation burden to the patient and operative team may be significant.
While there was no significant difference regarding ischemic events, a numerical trend towards a higher number of early ischemic events was observed between the two groups [ 23 ].
a positive trendgold
Thus, except for the studies in which no significant differences were observed, based both on small cohort of patients, a positive trend between OC levels and bone healing was detected.
Dental Cast Assessment After scanning both dental casts, the following changes were observed: even though 4-4 BAW and 6-6 CAW experienced a decreasing trend, no statistically significant difference was found.
Furthermore, the palatal depth from the occlusal plane (PDOC) showed an increasing trend over time, despite the lack of statistically significant differences.
a clear trendgold
[ 11 ] conducted a seminal study that highlighted a clear trend favoring EEAs for achieving improved visual outcomes.
Although there are some suggestions of a decreasing trend in recurrent coronary hospitalization in recent years [ 16 ], the risk remains high, especially for patients with additional risk factors [ 17 ].
