In Europe, the reported incidence of STEC-HUS is 5.6 to 7.8/marp/year, although an increasing trend has been observed in recent years [ 12 , 14 ].
Excerpts
A highly significant correlation between arterial CO 2 and TcPCO 2 was demonstrated in patients undergoing bronchoscopic lung volume reduction [ 87 ].
In each of these cases, there was an observed trend towards higher survival rates.

Indeed, we observed, both in case reports [ 16 , 27 , 28 , 31 , 44 , 51 , 52 , 53 , 54 , 58 ] and in the retrospective study by Nakayama [ 61 ], a relationship between the decrease in systemic inflammation and a positive trend of renal function recovery.
Therefore, this study indicated a favorable trend for modified-release prednisone when compared with immediate-release prednisone, suggesting that further research is warranted.
Moreover, the rarity of distal humerus fractures conceals an increasing trend in the elderly, particularly impacting females.
an overall trendgold
Their analysis showed an overall trend of reduced HRV parameters following UFP exposure, mainly as a rapid response within hours [ 7 ].
- As AH is known to be a key risk factor for ischemic heart disease and the main risk factor for stroke, it can be said without a doubt that AH is the main cause of death in Croatia as well ( Table 2 ) - An increasing trend regarding the number of deaths from hypertensive disease has been observed in Croatia, with significantly more women than men dying from it.
A lesser, non-significant decrease was observed in every noninfectious procedure during the pandemic, except cochlear implantations, which stayed on an increasing trend throughout the pandemic ( Figure 3 ).
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of MMAs increased ( Figure 4 A), whereas adenotonsillectomies demonstrated a decreasing trend ( Figure 4 B).
After adjusting for variables that fit the “entry” and “stay” criteria among this subgroup, only higher age and lower EFLV at discharge showed significant independent association with cardiovascular mortality during follow-up among the non-IRA CTO subgroup only, whereas non-IRA CTO revascularization almost reached statistical significance, but with a very wide confidence interval ( Table 6 ). 5.
A subgroup analysis of chronic HF patients with severe SDB compared to patients without SDB showed a trend for a decrease in BRS and an increase in HRV in patients with severe SDB.
However, a favorable trend in increased neuromuscular activity was observed during both the 1-minute contraction and 10-second tonic contractions, although these changes were not statistically significant.
First, IGF-1 levels at diagnosis were lower in the former group, although this difference did not reach significance when evaluating the IGF-1/ULN ratio, even if the result was borderline significant.
The distribution of clinical variables, allergic sensitization, sputum and peripheral blood eosinophils, sputum cellularity profiles, total IgE, FeNO, and serum periostin levels were similar in the groups of children with never controlled asthma and sometimes/always controlled asthma, except for a significantly higher duration of asthma and symptomatic patients (ACT score < 20) in the group of uncontrolled asthma, with exacerbations in the previous year and use of systemic corticosteroids also being more frequent and marginally statistically significant.
Its prevalence has experienced an increasing trend in recent decades.
a clear trendgold
In this nationwide big data study analyzing the relationship between BMI and the risk of lumbar spinal stenosis, we observed a clear trend indicating that the risk of incidence significantly increases with a higher BMI.
The hazard ratio for the OS was 0.82 (95% CI, 0.63–1.07) with a log-rank p -value of 0.048, suggesting a trend toward improved survival with atezolizumab, although this result approaches statistical significance in this interim analysis, with data maturity at 43%.
a clear trendgold
Our analysis revealed a clear trend: as the frequency of the consultations increased, so did the proportion of patients experiencing multiple exacerbations ( Figure 5 ).
Additionally, the median rASRM score, reflecting endometriosis severity, was significantly higher in the pelvic pain group (16) compared to the no pain group (5), with a highly significant p -value of 0.000003.

The Global Burden of Disease 2019 study described an increasing trend in the global prevalence of AF [ 4 ], which is projected to continue over the next thirty years [ 5 ].
The microbiological test result from the index surgery alone did not predict the need for revision surgery, but the presence of a difficult-to-treat pathogen showed a trend toward a threefold increase in the mean number of revision surgeries ( Figure 3 b).
In their work, the prognostic accuracy of miR-208b for 30-day mortality was borderline significant, with AUC 0.67 (95% CI 0.52–0.81), while all other studied miRNAs (including miR-133a and miR-499) were not significantly predictive for early death.
