Results of a meta-analysis that included 18 randomized clinical trials (RCTs) with more than 4000 OSA patients on CPAP therapy did not show a significant decrease of cardiovascular event risk compared with the control group but only a nonsignificant trend of lower rate of death and stroke [ 37 ].
