Despite this high value, lead concentration in bones from the same species from other coastal areas in southwestern Mexico showed a decreasing trend up to 10 times lower from 1999 to 2015 [ 19 , 76 , 77 ].
This quite significant overshooting can be attributed to the smaller hydrated ionic radius of Pb, and thus the higher affinity.
Our results showed a decreasing trend of the exposure duration of reported pneumoconiosis and also the silicosis cases, which implies that the risk of dust is becoming more and more serious.
