It can be seen from the data presented in Figure 4 a that the TN concentration in the high flow season from 2019 to 2021 showed a decreasing trend first (May to August during dry and normal years, and May to June during the wet year) and then an increasing trend, which is opposite to the change in rainfall and runoff.

Solution No.1 (0.7 m) When the floodgate height was adjusted to 0.7 m, the COD Mn and NH 3 -N concentrations at all seven monitoring points showed a decreasing trend compared to the current situation of the floodgate regulation ( Figure 5 a,d).

Unlike the change in the average COD Mn concentration, the average NH 3 -N concentration showed an increasing trend at the C5 monitoring point, increasing by 0.06 mg·L −1 , and the rate of increase was 4.29%.
