Group Differences Emerging differences, although not significant, show a clear trend and provide useful insight on the underpinnings of the impairment in TBI individuals and on the use of emotional virtual agents for rehabilitation.
The results remained borderline significant after bootstrapping the standard errors (with p -values of 0.067 for motivation and 0.059 for self-concept of school tasks), suggesting some weakness in the robustness of the relations.
The study also found that the four dimensions of empathy showed different trends across the four teaching experience groups: fantasy remained stable, empathic concerns and perspective taking showed decreasing trends, and personal distress showed an increasing trend.
Additionally, despite the fact that the effect of group membership on ICE was only marginally significant, the significant indirect effect of group membership on allocations via anticipated cooperative emotions suggests that the difference in allocation behavior between majority and minority groups is, at least in part, explained by differences in anticipated emotions.
Heterogeneity in different groups can be quite significant to capture when it can be observed; hence, it is easy for practitioners in the field to refer to the observed heterogeneity in aiding their decision making.
In addition, as we describe in more detail below, we suggest there may be significant promise in focusing on how artifacts influence expectancies and mindsets in clinical encounters.
Another conclusion was that one of the key components of the predictive model for forwards is the percentage of overall distance covered at speeds >24 km/h (7.99%), which is a variable with an increasing trend.
As to Italians, there was only 1 syllable (/ba/) out of 9, where the ΔF2 values for AAF condition were significantly greater than the values of NAF condition, while another one (/bi/) was almost significant.
While a facilitation effect (neutral > female) for female faces was evident from both RTs and percentage of correct responses (in both identity and associative words), we found neither a facilitation nor an interference effect for male faces (RTs for identity words showed a trend toward facilitation, but this did not reach significance).
We identified three different trajectories which characterized three profiles of students: a profile with constant high levels of positive affect (Constant High PA), a profile showing an increasing trend of positive affect over the 7 days of assessment (Increasing PA), and a profile showing a decreasing trend (Decreasing PA).
Third, recent research on social entrepreneurship education indicates that cross organizational cooperation is an important trend in the cultivation of social entrepreneurship talents.
Effects of Sentences Every version A of a sentence within the clinical context presented to the patients resulted in a highly significant reduction in maximal arm muscle strength at both time points, by 8.6–17.2% at T2 ( Figure 1 and Table 4 ).
A marginal difference of presence and a highly significant difference of perceived synchrony were found, with higher scores in the sensorimotor as compared to the conventional group.
While a significantly higher embodiment score for the sensorimotor compared to the conventional group was expected (hypothesis 1), only a statistical trend in the predicted direction (together with a mild difference in presence) was found.
In the smile group, the participants’ IPA showed a decreasing trend, which means the embodied positive emotions activated by the smile facial expression manipulation did not play a positive role in regulating the negative emotions induced by the video but instead significantly increased the implicit negative emotions.
It also disappeared in Mandarin, but in this language, we observed that the older group of children improved in the comprehension of object RCs slightly more than in the comprehension of subject RCs, although this interaction was only marginally significant.
Moreover, anxiety negatively affected subjective norms and PBC, with a marginally significant effect on attitudes, meanwhile it had a positive effect on intention.
The possible loss in significance might stem from interconversion of effects between d and r (such conversions are known to very slightly bias values; Schmidt and Hunter, 2015 ) and from rounding down to two decimal places (so as to homogenize the reporting of each effect across studies), both of which may make marginally significant d values reported in one study marginally non-significant when recomputed for meta-analysis.
