1.2|1.3), with the difference in rates being either significant ( p = 0.016; “Supermatrix-ITS-like” tree) or only marginally non-significant ( p = 0.0599; “Supermatrix-ITS-like” tree).

Red-flowered populations clustered strongly and had a significantly different pollinating fauna to yellow- ( R = 1.00, p = 0.03) and pink-flowered populations ( R = 0.54, p = 0.03) and a marginally non-significant difference to white-flowered populations ( R = 0.39, p = 0.06), while the fauna in yellow-flowered populations was significantly different to that in pink-flowered populations ( R = 0.46, p = 0.03).
Additionally, there was a marginally significant effect of small bee visitation on pollinator-perceived color (p=0.06; Table 2 ).
Nevertheless, this difference was only marginally significant ( p = 0.06).
It also shaped Alpha diversity in concert with root morphology, although the effect of root morphology was marginally significant ( P = 0.06), and soil water temperature had no significant influence.

Conw and Poss also caused height reduction, but marginally non-significant (0.05 < p < 0.06).
Median SWC in August was almost significant (p-value= 0.06) and could explain 67% of the variability ( Table 1 ; Figure 4 ). 3.3.
While the Si content of plants under drought regimes rose by a similar extent (+28%) in plants supplied with the highest Si supplementation rate relative to non-supplemented plants ( Figure 3A ), this narrowly missed statistical significance ( P = 0.061) at a 95% confidence interval.

The effect of AMF treatment was visible in the root capacitance response (Figure 5 ): according to t -tests, the mean C R * of AMF-inoculated plants was significantly higher than that of the control at the 4-node stage (DAS 54; CON : 7.20 ± 0.63 nF; INO : 7.55 ± 0.64 nF; p < 0.01) and at the beginning of flowering (DAS 69; CON : 12.21 ± 0.85 nF; INO : 12.55 ± 0.70 nF; p < 0.05), while borderline significance was observed at the main flowering period (DAS 83; p = 0.063).
This main effect was significant for the PI-II , PR-2 and PR-5 genes ( p ≤ 0.040) and marginally significant also for PI-I ( p = 0.063).
For example, strong leaf antioxidant capacity was observed in PR-grafted plants although the leaf ABA content was decreased by heat stress with marginal significance ( P = 0.064), and root FRAP was the lowest in MA-grafted plants despite their high root ABA contents under heat stress conditions ( Figures 3E–H , 5A–D ).
In that way, corolla color had a marginally significant negative indirect effect on female fitness via number of flower (Estimate = −0.257, Z = −1.85, p = 0.064; Supplementary Table S2 ; Figure 2B ).

Anthocyanins’ contents were significantly higher in diploids compared to established tetraploids ( P < 0.05) with differences between diploids and neotetraploids being marginally non-significant ( P = 0.064; Figure 2I ).
Similar patterns of context dependence were observed for the accumulation efficiency, with a marginally significant three-way interaction between MBOA peak area, induction, and red clover intercrop (β = 0.332 ± 0.178, t = 1.859, p = 0.065).
