This may be significant in the development of murine models of PR3-AAV, as it is believed that expression of PR3 on the neutrophil surface is critical to the pathogenesis of AAV ( 112 ).
Excerpts
a clear trendgold
Certainly, there is a clear trend toward implementing NGS in academic institutions for genetic diagnostics; however, there is also a trend toward array genotyping, particularly in direct-to-consumer companies.
a slight trendgold
In the lumped data, there was only a slight trend toward an increase in the fraction of active cells with age ( Figure 1B ), in contrast to data obtained in CX 3 CR1 G F P / + mice ( 14 , 22 ).
Nevertheless, particularly the module grey60 merits future further analysis due to a substantial number of genes with highly significant differential expression and high log2 FoldChange.
Administration of the anti-VLA4 monoclonal antibody natalizumab resulted in a significant increase of CD45 proportions and nearly significant rise in absolute counts of the nonclassical monocyte subset ( Figure 8 ).
The addition of more co-stimulatory signals, other adjuvants, or signaling domains to CARs by genetic additions has become an increasing trend in the field ( 51 – 53 ).
a small trendgold
A small trend toward an increased expression of inflammasome genes was observed in septic shock patients, who also displayed a marked tendency to an increased expression of IL-18 and IL-1β genes.
Romidepsin treatment resulted in increased histone acetylation, cell-associated HIV-1 RNA, and T-cell activation, which were associated with a marginally significant reduction of the viral reservoir.
The proportion of individuals recognizing a protein based on whether it was derived from mainly the N-terminal (conserved) or variable C- terminal region of the protein showed a trend, but no significant difference within or between the protein families ( Figure 2C ).
The mean CFU burden in αIL-1R1-treated animals was within 2.3-fold of the untreated groups, and only the αIL-1R1-associated decrease in the spleens of LZD treated animals approached significance.
Fingolimod and natalizumab showed a trend toward an increased rate of infection compared with interferon beta and glatiramer acetate, but no significance was found ( 3 ).
The blood and bone marrow showed a trend toward an increase in PD-1 + PD-L1 + Foxp3 + Nrp-1 − CD25 + CD4 + Tregs, but not a statistically significant increase ( Figures 3A–D ).
Similarly, prevalence of neutropenia was not associated with a significant trend towards greater use of G-CSF.
The reduction in the cells exhibiting fusion events was highly significant, however, and may be a hint the Syt2 is involved.
( 33 ) reported a decreasing trend in baff transcripts correlating with levels 3–4 of kidney swelling grade.
However, we detected the significant difference of anti-CII IgG and IgG 2c after 3 weeks of CFA and CII injection ( Figures 3B,D ) while anti-CII IgG 2b slightly showed a trend higher in the STING-deficient mice ( Figure 3C ).
The two class A muteins showed a slightly reduced but still significant increase, while H16R, a class B mutein, showed a trend toward an increase but the effect was not statistically significant at this dose.
However, only IFITM3 showed a significant difference ( p < 0.05), while two other genes OAS2 and MX1 showed a trend of enhancement, although it was not statistically significant ( p = 0.06 using the two-stage linear step-up procedure of Benjamini, Krieger, and Yekutieli).
As shown in Figures 7A,B , intramuscular immunization with AbOMVs failed to induce significantly elevated salivary or vaginal sIgA responses, though mice in the SuOMV group showed a trend toward higher sIgA levels.
In contrast to the healthy controls who showed a trend of age-dependent Treg cell subpopulations ( Figure 4A ) ( 52 , 53 ), the majority of the studied PIDs patients had a more age-independent predicted Treg cell subpopulation ( Figure 4C ), but over 85% (78/91) maintained relatively lower Th17 populations that inhibited human B cell survival and activation of antibody-secreting plasma cells ( 54 ).
In Cntn1 −/− animals, the small intestine-associated Peyer's Patches showed a trend for reduced cellularity compared to wild-type tissues, and within these lymphoid structures the number of CD4 + T cells, TCR-β + NK1.1 + cells, and B cells was significantly reduced in Cntn1 -deficient tissues ( Figures 7D–F ).
Indeed, the pathway is responsive to unspecific inflammation, and it is induced in chronic immune activation states because IDO is sensitive IFN gamma gene, and it is induced by inflammatory stimuli ( 27 ) that may be significant especially in locally relapsed HNSCC, which is generally an inflamed disease.
It may be significant to highlight that the repertoire of DCs commonly detected in the skin are cDCs and LCs, and, after infection, monocyte-derived inflammatory DCs and pDCs are found ( 326 – 328 ).
Unexpectedly, co-incubation of infected STING KO feeder cells resulted in a highly significant increase in SIINFEKL/K b expressing BMDCs which was higher in STING WT compared to KO cells ( Figure 5C ).
The authors showed a trend toward lower baseline Tregs and M-MDSC levels in non-relapsing patients as compared with relapsing ones, thus suggesting the negative impact of these circulating populations on the clinical outcome, without clearly distinguishing their predictive vs. prognostic value ( 51 ).
