ANA + NS and UCTD patients also showed a trend to increased proportions of Tfh cells, which was smaller than that seen in SARD, and which appeared to result from small increases in the Th1 and Th17 subsets, together with a significant increase in the Th2 cell subset ( Figure 1D ).

In contrast, there was only a slight trend to increased Tph17 cells in these non-SARD groups, which was significantly less than that seen in early SARD ( Figure 1F ).

SDS-PAGE analysis of IL-36 family cytokines incubated for 2h at 37°C in the presence of the panel of allergen extracts revealed patterns of proteolysis that broadly correlated with the outcome of the bioactivity assays ( Figure 2D ), although it should be noted that trace amounts of proteolysis can often be sufficient to produce highly significant amounts of active cytokine.

However, only total T cells showed a decreasing trend in the benefit group ( Figure S2 ) .

All four studies from Europe showed a trend towards a lower risk of breast cancer in patients with pSS ( 7 , 8 , 10 , 15 ).

However, unlike the previously reported effects of other Btk inhibitors on autoantibody production, this study using NZBW/F1 mice did not demonstrate significant inhibition of total immunoglobulins and autoantibodies, though a decreasing trend in IgG anti-dsDNA levels were noted following BTKB66 treatment.
