0 = 2.32, 95% CI = 0.95–5.76) and ever performing cunnilingus (aPR = 1.74, 95% CI = 1.00–3.01) attenuated but remained marginally significant. 3.
Excerpts
There was a significant trend towards an improved response at 3–6 months if the DSM-TACE was administered in a selective vs. non-selective manner: at 3–6 months, complete response (CR) was 26.9% (7/26) vs. 7.3% (8/110); while partial response (PR) was 26.9% (7/26) vs. 19.1% (21/110), with p = 0.026.
The table reports the results of the multivariable Cox models of PFS and OS, again showing that none of the biomarkers was significantly associated with prognosis; only SDF-1 showed a trend towards significance for OS, but did not reach the pre-specified significance limit of 5%.
However as with the unmatched cohort, there was a numerical trend towards improved disease control in the ablation group (41% achieving and maintaining CR vs. 32%).
However, there may be significant differences in the management and treatment of lung cancer in its early stages that contribute to disparities in rates of mortality and incidence among rural vs. urban communities, as will be explained in the next section. 4.2.

The fourth important feature was the gray-level co-occurrence matrix Informational Measure of Correlation (glcm_Imc1 96 × 96), and it had a negative trend: a higher feature value resulted in a lower negative SHAP value.
Notably, only the CC-0 showed a similar trend with the non-NACT group regarding overall survival, while the other subgroups exhibited a numerical trend without reaching statistical significance ( Figure 3 B).
(healthy eating habits, individualized and guided training programs, and psychological support) showed a trend towards a lower proportion of survivors with high LDL-C in the intervention group after 15 months [ 37 ].
This model was highly significant overall, with preoperative use of thyroxine and male gender being positively associated with the risk for cancer, and advanced age and the use of antithyroid medications being negatively associated with this outcome, but Tg-Abs were not independently associated with it ( Table 4 ).
A trial combining gefitinib and cediranib, targeting EGFR and VEGFR, showed a trend towards an improved response rate in recurrent GBM patients in a phase II trial [ 61 ].
[ 67 ] found that when comparing the highest and lowest tertiles, non-fasting serum insulin concentrations showed a trend, although not statistically significant at the 0.05 level, for a positive correlation with breast cancer mortality in postmenopausal (odds ratio, 1.9; 95% confidence interval, CI, 0.7–6.6, p trend = 0.10), but not premenopausal (odds ratio, 0.9; 95% CI, 0.3–2.9, p trend = 0.75) women.
The existing literature on this subject matter now provides compelling evidence pointing towards a statistical trend in favour of extended OS and PFS in cases involving craniotomy with resection, as opposed to the purely diagnostic stereotactic biopsy procedure.
Liver tumor tissues manifested significant decreases in SOD1 and CAT and, like lung, a highly significant increase in G6PD ( Figure 3 A and lower panels of Figure 3 C).
The distribution of race between the group of subjects with HCC recurrence showed a trend toward a higher proportion of White and a lower proportion of Black patients; however, this was not a statistically significant difference.
There was only a weakly significant positive association with incidence in men but not in women ( Supplementary Tables S3 and S7 ).
The presence of variant histologic patterns on biopsy showed a trend toward higher upgrading risk but did not reach statistical significance when considered in isolation.
It has been proposed that cilengitide’s poor pharmacokinetics has ultimately led to its development being discontinued [ 70 , 78 ] although the observation that the pan-αv antagonist GLPG0187 was not effective as a monotherapy when delivered by continuous infusion suggests other factors, such as combination of integrins targeted, may be significant [ 79 ].
Despite distinct mechanisms of drug action, there may be significant cross-resistance between abiraterone and enzalutamide [ 41 , 42 ].
Glutamine, however, displayed a decreasing trend, with both the 3d and 5d cells showed a significantly lower amount of this tRNA than in the NT cells.
Glycine also showed an increasing trend, only changing significantly after five days of treatment with TGFβ.
Conversely, the south exhibited the lowest rates compared to all other regions for both sexes, albeit with an increasing trend ( Figure 4 ; Table 1 ).
In our cohort, the patients who underwent additional mpMRI-targeted cognitive fusion lesion sampling had a nonsignificant trend toward lower upgrading rates (34.6% vs. 41.1% with systematic biopsy alone, Δ6.5%), consistent with the modest reductions in under-grading risk reported with MRI-targeted approaches [ 50 ].
The highly significant difference in CFUs recovered from the bone marrow of mice in the two groups ( Figure 5 ) implies that the pretreatment with idelalisib affects the ability of these ALL cells to home to the bone marrow.
The incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer in China have shown an increasing trend.
Differences were considered ‘not significant’ (n.s.) with p values > 0.10, as ‘borderline significant’ with p values from 0.10 to 0.05, and as ‘significant’ with p values < 0.05.
