Among women, 14 countries showed an increasing trend in PC mortality (AAPCs ranging from 5.83 to 0.78), with the sharpest rises in Malta (AAPC: 3.06), Slovakia (AAPC: 2.97), and Lithuania (AAPC: 2.06) in Europe, and in the Philippines (AAPC: 5.83), Thailand (AAPC: 4.39), and Japan (AAPC: 1.41) in other regions [ 25 ] ( Figure 2 ).
Excerpts
Similarly, the CPS-based stratification showed a significant trend, with the highest pCR rates observed in the high-CPS group, followed by the medium- and low-CPS groups (χ 2 for trend, p = 0.011).

The fact that the SMD’s odds ratio and statistical significance for a pCR were similar to those of the CPS, along with a clear trend when categorized into tertiles, suggests that SMD may serve as a predictive marker for pCR from a host factor perspective.

A scatter plot of T-stage probability against risk scores showed a clear trend that as the risk score rises, the likelihood of a tumor being classified as more invasive increases ( Figure 6 D).

Although it is impossible to define a precise NLR threshold above which cytological results would change, the distribution of NLR values indicates a clear trend ( Figure 2 ).
Despite the lack of a definitive threshold, an increasing trend in NLR values was observed with more severe cytological outcomes.
Analysis on Publicly Available Data DNMT3A mRNA expression in the TCGA cohort showed a trend toward longer overall survival and disease-specific survival in multivariable Cox regression analysis after adjusting for age, sex, N-status, and DNMT1 and DNMT3B mRNA expression.
Although not statistically significant, CM from PNF cells showed a trend toward increased levels of secretions compared to normal Schwann cells, including betacellulin (BTC), G-CSF (CSF-3), GRO alpha (CXCL1), IL-1 alpha, IL-1 beta, IL-3, IL-5, IL-6, IL-7R alpha, IL-9, IL-13, IL-27, IL-31, IL-33, MCP-1 (CCL2), MIP-1 beta (CCL4), RANTES (CCL5), and TNF alpha ( Figure 4 B). mRNA expression levels of key cytokines and chemokines were used to confirm the observations made on the multiplex assay.
Although the results did not reach statistical significance due to the limited sample size, the model prediction still demonstrated a clear trend as the strongly predictive factor with radiation necrosis, further supporting its potential predictive relevance.
ATRX (1.6-fold, p < 0.0001) and BRCA2 (1.3-fold, p < 0.05) were associated with significantly higher GSS compared to respective WT subgroups, and FANCE (1.3-fold, p = 0.19), ERCC2 (1.2-fold, p = 0.15), PALB2 (1.2-fold, p = 0.32), and MSH2 (1.2-fold, p = 0.33) mutations showed a trend toward higher GSS, while a trend for lower GSS was observed for MRE11 (0.64-fold, p = 0.24) and CHEK2 (0.83-fold, p = 0.14) ( Figure 3 C). 3.4.
In such cases where the tumor cells, although invading the visceral pleura, have not demonstrably spread beyond the lung parenchyma or immediate pleura, the systemic risk might be primarily driven by factors like LVI (which remained highly significant in our multivariate analysis) rather than the local extent treatable by the resection type difference between SLR and lobectomy.
While our meta-analysis did not identify a statistically significant difference in safety between the available surgical methods, minimally invasive surgery (MIS) demonstrated a favorable trend, with lower rates of intra-operative and post-operative complications, as well as a higher likelihood of achieving complete surgical staging with bilateral sentinel lymph node removal.
Conclusions: Despite the rising incidence of melanoma in Hungary, the annual median Breslow thickness in our studied patient group showed a decreasing trend, accompanied by improved mortality outcomes.
identified a significant trend shift, with melanoma incidence and mortality decreasing in the past few years [ 10 ].
Although no significant association was found between TLR4 and AGER expression and lymph node involvement, we detected a marginal significance of these markers in IBC compared to non-IBC subjects.
Bowel resection (HR: 1.438, p = 0.124), stoma formation (HR: 1.739, p = 0.080), and diaphragm stripping (HR: 1.430, p = 0.150) showed a trend toward increased hazard but did not reach statistical significance.
Using the list of 392 commonly regulated genes, a total of 97 upstream regulators met statistical significance with the two most highly significant factors being beta-estradiol and ERβ ( Figure 4 L–O, Supplemental Figure S5, Supplemental Table S5 ).
In a previous study, patients affected by PC showed a trend through longer operative time and higher blood loss, even if not statistically relevant, as compared with those affected by other periampullary tumors [ 18 ].
We found an increasing trend in the incidence of early-onset ovarian cancer among NHAIAN women from 2001 to 2021, despite observing a decline in IRs among women from other race and ethnic groups.

Serial renal function measurements during treatment revealed a clear trend: although baseline eGFR was not predictive of AKD, post-treatment values became progressively more indicative.
[ 80 ], suggesting there might be significant overlap between reactive CD4 T-cells and Sézary cells in terms of CD164, CCR4, and CD279 expression.
In contrast, manually assessed CD3 + sTILs and digitally assessed CD8 + sTILs did not reach statistical significance, although they showed a trend toward significance, with p -values of 0.064 and 0.066, respectively.
Similarly, colorectal cancer incidence has an increasing trend globally [ 1 ].
Significance levels were set at 0.05 (*) and 0.005 (**), thus providing two thresholds for identifying statistically significant and highly significant results, respectively.
In this German multicenter study ( n = 179), adjuvant nivolumab showed a trend toward improved DFS at 12 and 24 months, but interpretation is complicated by the high use of adjuvant radiation in the observation arm (74% of patients) compared to the nivolumab arm (50%) [ 16 ].
