All other endpoints had a positive trend towards favoring the experimental arm, though no statistically significant differences were observed, except for the OR rate which was superior in the experimental arm, due to a proportionally larger number of patients with CR.
The low Tid1 gene-expressing gastric cancers showed a trend of lower disease-free survival (DFS) rate than high Tid1 gene-expressing gastric cancer patients, although this difference was not statistically significant difference ( Figure 1 C).
In fact, there has been a clear trend in recent years towards an increase in the percentage of patients diagnosed with localized NSCLC, from 16.6% in 1988 to 23.6% in 2015 (SEER database) [ 3 ].
Moreover, in a systematic literature search on the co-occurrence of NETs, and adenocarcinomas in the same segment of the gastrointestinal tract, a highly significant association was found [ 79 ].
While no changes were observed for U1692 on 18S rRNA and U4975 on 28S rRNA ( Figure S6 ), an increasing trend in Ψ1445 on 18S rRNA was found in DKC1 OE cells (shown in Figure 4 C).
G3 tissue also showed a trend toward increasing MICA mRNA levels compared to G2 tissue, suggesting that other post-transcriptional mechanisms are involved in the regulation of MICA expression in G3 specimens ( Figure 1 C). 2.2.
These findings did not remain statistically significant when analyzing patients with IT or TT separately, but this was most likely due to smaller patient numbers, since a clear trend was seen, especially among patients with TT.
Interestingly, statistical comparison of ER+ and TN tumors showed increase in TN with respect to ER+ although the p value (0.0511) was only approaching significance ( Figure 7 H and Figure S7 ). 3.
With regard to PFS, those patients with longer GMI showed a trend toward a better median PFS when compared to those with GMI 0–1.33 (median PFS from trabectedin 10.2 months (95% CI 0.1–20.3) vs. five months (95% CI 3.1–6.9) ( p = 0.093)), as seen in Figure 4 . 3.
Furthermore, exploratory analysis of nine patients commencing anti-PD-1 therapy showed a trend of high tumour mutational burden and neoepitope load in responders compared to non-responders.
In the well-controlled subgroup, the pattern was similar except that the HIV index date showed no association with NSCLC, and alcohol use did not quite reach statistical significance.
Why Shannon Diversity Was Not Different between NAT and Tumor Tissues In this study, Shannon diversity or richness of microbial taxa was not found to be significantly different between NAT and tumor tissues; however, microbial evenness defined by Simpson’s index was slightly significant between the two groups.
They did note a trend towards significance in the post-operative setting benefitting HSRT compared to SRS for 1-year local control in tumors >3 cm (HSRT: 85.7% vs.
While lung cancer incidence worldwide is higher in men, there exists an increasing trend in women that cannot be solely explained by tobacco consumption [ 1 , 2 ].
Based on the findings from our study and the existing literature, we recommend prophylactic dose aspirin in all CRC patients during CRT regardless of molecular profile without contraindications to treatment, given the low potential for harm and possibly significant benefit.
However, despite these similarities, the difference between dual carcinogen-treated Rosa26-LSL-MCPyV168 and dual carcinogen-treated K14E6/E7 mice was generally more highly significant, especially between 10 and 14 weeks post-treatment, than the difference between dual carcinogen-treated Rosa26-LSL-MCPyV168 and dual carcinogen-treated K14Cre-MCPyV168 mice.
In contrast, a highly significant survival difference between upfront surgery/PORT and primary RT/CRT was observed among Slug-positive patients (85/327).
This gene, FRMD6 , showed a highly significant correlation with AKT3 expression and as expected with EMT signatures in the cell line panel ( Figure 4 g,h and Figure S4b ).
